Laguna Park 2, Tenerife

The Laguna Park II Hotel Tenerife was my home for 7 months in 2002; I was one of the resident entertainers at the hotel. While I was working there my parents came to stay for a week at the hotel so I got to have a look inside the rooms. The rooms are basic and clean but please be warned that Tenerife like most hot countries experiences a problem with Cockroaches. I visited the Laguna Park 2 apartments for a week in November 2005. I hope you find this review helpful! On top of the already great features at the Laguna Park 2 you can also use the facilities at Laguna Park 1 at the bottom of the hill. Location the Laguna Park 2 apartments are on the outskirts of Playa de las Americas near Costa Adeje. It is quite a long walk to the beach, and about 10 minutes to bars and restaurants. ...be too far out. It is on "cardiac hill", you have to walk down a slope to the pool from most apartments. It would definitely not be suitable for those with walking difficulties as the hill is just too steep and long. There are a couple of lifts but whether they are working or not is a different matter. There is a taxi rank right outside the hotel, which came in useful. Taxi's are very reasonably priced so make the most of them! To get a taxi outside ...

My husband and I stayed here last year for 1 week. The place it's self was fine, room clean, clean sheets and towels aplenty. The problem with this complex is you have a long walk down to shop, bars, restaurant etc. It is a very steep hill, which I found difficult to say the least. Coming back up was worse. I suffer arthritis and this did me no favours. Certainly NOT SUITABLE for anyone with problems walking, or using a wheel chair. They do run ...

I stayed in Laguna Park II in the summer of 2005 for a fortnight with my father when I was 17. We booked the holiday last minute as we always did, so we got a reasonable price and didn't expect too much. Deplorable Filthy apartment ,filthy pissy mattress and setee, Absolutely horrible. Broken exposed electric wires over bed.Broken lock on bolt on back door. No duvets or pillows.Just previously used blankets in wardrobe that had the top door hanging off. Broken cooker hobs.Filthy dishes and would not use even a tea spoon of which there was only one. Definately health and safety had not passed this apartment. Scroundels to put any one in this apartment. Flew home out of this dive as soon as it was daylight. The apartment number was 19~ with the line on top./not plain 19. Lost all my money on this garbage. Steer clear. ...

I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel! we were 4 20 something girls last year and got a very cheap deal (Fly Globespan £99 for ten days including flights!) - and it was a great decision! Hotel's a bit out of the way of the main tenerife nightlife (had to get taxis up and down to the path/veronicas/starcos etc) but if you had more sensible shoes you could walk it! The actual hotel is lovley, its huuuuuuuuge! lots of steps though so if your not great ...
...nice and had a lovley balcony over looking the pool, balcony was very big with access from both the living area and the bedroom. Entertainment we only saw a few times in passing but it has the usual family cabaret nights. kids disco, a snake show etc bar was lovley and not too pricey either. Seem to be a kids club as well. Small supermarket attached prob was a little dearer than the main supermarkets down the hill but fine for little essentials. ...

Like others have said their was so many bad reviews i was worried about going to this hotel, on arrival the view from the hotel down hill and the mountains are out of this world you are a stones throw from the aqua park with all the slide and dolphin shows. the staff are so friendly and all speak very good english, the pool is amazing and is massive and theirs pleanty of sunbeds, we also played crazy golf and tennis at the hotel but isn't to advisable ...
...basic but what do you expect for 2 star if you are like me and just use your room to sleep and wash in then thats all you want, on arrival you have a bottle of water which is good after the journey. I never ate in the half board resturaunt so dont know what the foods like the food snacks and drinks at the pool are nice and very reasonable price p.s tell them again brian says to change that cd lol. The only draw back was the hill but taxi fares ...
