...I booked to go to Las Vegas 2 years ago with my 4 year old daughter my after thought was WHAT HAVE I DONE! Not knowing if there would be enough to entertain my daughter (especially for 2 weeks). Worry not there was more than enough for both of us. We stayed at the MGM Grand which was convenient for the on-site theme park and creche, one of a few on the strip. I must commend the staff at the creche as they are excellent with the kids, so much so that ... ...of worrying about whether she would be alright it took 2 staff members to carry her out because she was enjoying herself so much. LAS VEGAS , the city that never sleeps , where dreams are born and fortunes are won & lost. My wife and I have been to Las Vegas at least once every year since 1988. I love Las Vegas!
Good Food!
Buffet is really a good value. You can have prime rib for a relatively low price and good quality of food. This is the main reason I visit Vegas all the time!
Good Shopping! many shops offer refunds at any other locations in the country. My special interest is the Coca-cola and the M&M's specialty buildings. You will find many merchandize here that you cannot find anywhere in the world. Good Entertainment!

We got stuck for traffic jam for almost 5 hours one time in the middle of the night on the way back to Los Angeles and there is no bathrooms or detour.
It takes around 4 hours to drive from Los Angeles to Las Vegas without traffic.

Las Vegas is all these things and more. It’s currently the fastest growing city in the USA, with over 5,000 people a month moving in. The lure of that one lucky role of the dice, or that killer hand or just that lucky dollar in the right slot machine at the right time. It’s what attracts the people in the first place, it’s what keeps them coming back and it’s worth remembering it’s also what makes the hotel owners rich.
But don’t stop there. Play some golf on one of the world class courses that surround ...

Even the most hardened Vegas-addict needs the occasional break from the fast flow of neon, dollars and anything else that you want. Vegas offers everything man has created and that comes in abundance. What is somewhat less available, but my soul begins to crave after around 72 hours is a little immersion in nature. There is much more to see & is described below. The canyon is encircled by a Scenic Highway, which enjoys the clever aspect of being a long ...

...of a real functioning city Las Vegas really is! It is not just a town of hotels and casinos, its very much populated and although not by far the size of LA or London, you certainly feel small there!!!
For those of you visiting Vegas in a car like I did, you will initially find the roads slightly confusing. The highways that run along side the city are not very well signed and your fellow motorists are not as forgiving as you are used to!!, however,

These are the two pricing extremes on the main strip in Vegas, the further south you go the more expensive it is, remember that one!

Las Vegas is the craziest city in the world. Where else can you and five friends stay in a five star pyramid big enough to hold about 50 IMAX cinemas for sixty dollars a night? Between you, not each. We turned up without having booked anything in advance and ended up in the huge booking hall at the base of the Luxor pyramid. The desk clerks can do all sorts of deals for you on the spot. Our room was a standard double, but as this is the US, that ... ...a roll-out bed, which was big enough for two people as well, so the six of us shared a room and paid 10 dollars each per night - it was cheaper than a hostel! Our room had a great view out over the Mandalay Bay casino, which at the time was the last big one at the end of the strip, and the empty desert beyond. The bathroom was enormous and the shower was big enough for a rugby team.
For meals we went to the all you can eat buffet downstairs. For ...

All that is great about Las Vegas is encapsulated within the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas.
You can't miss the giant pyramid , rising from the Nevada Desert, guarded by the equally impressive Sphynx.

Advantages: Great all round value for money holiday destination Disadvantages: Long flight from the UK
We visited Las Vegas for the first time a few years ago, and are now hooked.
So whats the attraction? Well first of all, the hotels are fantastic quality, service is excellent, and value for money is amazing. If you choose the right time of year, you can stay in the biggest and best hotels in the world for less than $49 per night! The food is even cheaper with breakfast, lunch and dinner available at $1.99, $2.99 and $3.99 respectively!!!
Of course ... ...The Hotel/Casinos are entertainment venues in their own right and are tailored as much for the family as they are for gamblers. One or two do have restricted areas (eg Belagio), but others really are targetting the family (eg Circus Circus and the MGM Grand).
Any for those who prefer natural scenery, you are ideally placed for Lake Mead and Grand Canyon visits. We did the latter by helicopter, and it was probably the best experience of my life! ...
