Advantages Advantages Great things to see and experience!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Could loose all your money!

Well as some of you know already I have just been on holiday to Las Vegas and it was one of the best holidays I have ever had! I have so much to tell you about! I stayed for 10 days and did every Casino on the strip! Why Vegas? I wanted to go to Vegas because I love tacky over the top places and I love bright lights and free entertainment! We came across a great deal with www.bookatrip.com, which included a direct flight with Virgin from Gatwick - Vegas plus 10 nights accommodation for only £635 each. Virgin is the only airline that fly's direct to Vegas. The Strip from Mandalay Bay to The ... more

Advantages Advantages A unique place to visit, lots to do, some stunning attractions a short drive from town

Disadvantages Disadvantages Recession has hit the city hard - hotel, casino and shop closures abound.

I first visited Las Vegas in 1999 - back then the Desert Inn still (just) stood, and several of the places that drew blue collar workers to the town to gamble on the Strip were still trading, such as the Westward Ho, The Boardwalk and the Klondyke, a hotel that had stood for years on the southern end of the Strip before the Mandalay Bay went up transforming the area. However at that time there was a tangible sense of change in the air. In the early nineties Vegas had flirted with the idea of being perceived as “family friendly” in the midst of a recession and there were some remnants of this ... more

Advantages Advantages Lots to do for everyone

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None!

It’s easy to think of Las Vegas as a gambler’s paradise where you can indulge to excess in every sin possible, but there is so much more to the world famous city than meets the eye . . . Las Vegas for Shopping When you think of shopping in the US, you wouldn't necessarily think of Las Veags straight away but you should because it really is a shopper's paradise. Whether you are looking for bargain basement offers or high end designer wear, you'll find a mall to entice you in Sin City. -The Forum Shops- This mall is the original one in Las Vegas and is located in the Caesar's Palace hotel ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages smoking allowed almost everywhere, can be expensive, spend more than you planned

The first chance I had to visit Vegas was 15 years ago when I worked as live-in nanny, looking after twin girls. The family went to Los Angeles and Las Vegas on holiday over Christmas one year and I had a chance to go, all paid for as long as I shared the children's room and be on duty virtually all the time. I declined and it took until January last year when I finally set foot on Las Vegas soil - not Nevada, I went to Reno a few years ago. I was so impressed I went back for more later in the year. GETTING THERE Very few airlines fly direct to Las Vegas from the UK or Europe. Virgin have a ... more

Where else can you see the Eifel tower and the Statue of Liberty on one street, watch a pirate ship sink outside a hotel, or see a volcano erupting outside another one? I visited Las Vegas last year, and I can honestly say it took my breath away. From the minute I first saw the Welcome to Las Vegas sign, I was hooked on the place. This review will be ideal for anyone thinking of going to Las Vegas and wondering what they should try and fit in while they are there. There are a million and one things to do, so hopefully this will give you an idea of what you definately want to see while you are ... more

The bright lights of Vegas are in front of you. The Entertainment capital of the world beckons. So little time, so much to choose from, so where can you get best value for your hard earned dollar? In effect - What's HOT and what's NOT, in the City of lost wages. Whether you've checked into one of the Five Star mega hotels or one of the smaller casino/hotels in Downtown, first check out what the place has to offer. Quite often you do Vegas and miss some wonderful delights right there in front of you, just a few floors down from your room. Do some research into where you are staying, before you ... more

    Advantages Advantages Awesome sight

Disadvantages Disadvantages Bad Management on tour

On our recent trip to Las Vegas we decided to book a trip to the Hoover Dam. The trip included a drive past the stars homes in a luxury air conditioned coach , a tour of Ethel Ms Chocolate factory (even better than Galaxy Squiggles) , a walk through the worlds largest cactus garden then on to the Dam itself after the tour of the Dam lunch was provided and included in the price. The tour cost $32.99 per person and had they met all there obligations I am sure would have been worth it. We were picked up from our hotel in a mini bus and taken to a garage where we spent the first hour of our tour ... more

LAS VEGAS , the city that never sleeps , where dreams are born and fortunes are won & lost. My wife and I have been to Las Vegas at least once every year since 1988. Whilst no one can ever claim to know everything about a place , we believe we have a good knowledge and would like to be in a position to provide information where this may prove helpful. I have attached below link's under respective headings as and when I have come across them. Have fun hunting through the link's and more importantly , if you go to Las Vegas , have a fantastic time. Please let me know if any of you win a fortune ... more

Advantages Advantages Casinos have to be seen to be believed

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Gambling overload

We spent a couple of days in Las Vegas, taking in the sights including the VAST casinos that have to be seen to be believed. We didn't win our fortune, but we didn't lose one either. Here are a few tips for getting the best out of Las Vegas. 1. Try to book your hotel on the internet before arriving in the US. We stayed at CIRCUS CIRCUS and paid $39 per night for a double room (booked from their web site). Circus Circus isn't the flashest hotel on the Strip, but its rooms were certainly clean and comfortable. The hotel also boasted an indoor circus and theme park. You could spend all day there ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages could easlily spend everything you have!

I have recently returned from a week on my honeymoon in Las Vegas staying in the Imperial Palace hotel. This hotel is one of many fantastic hotels on the very long vast strip, situated opposite Caesers Palace and a stones throw from the famous Bellagio we were in very good company. Casinos -------- We spent the majority of the time in vegas looking around all the hotels and casino's. Everyone of them had something different and equally special to make your stay even more fantastic, from the white tigers in the 'Mirage' hotel to the big brazillian carnival shows in the 'Rio', the replica Grand ... more
