...flights and 4 nights at Le Meridien. The hotel was rated as 5 stars and had a great position on Las Ramblas. Price for the hotel was approximately £150 per night for a deluxe double including breakfast. On arrival, it was disappointing to find that the main reception area and lounge was being refurbished, so we were directed to a temporary reception which was very busy, and full of cases as people departed for cruise ships etc. Our room was not ready, ... ...a room on the 3rd floor. Initial impressions were good, as it was newly refurbished in a smart, minimalist style, and the bathroom was large, with a huge walk-in shower. Unfortunately, there was no bath, so check on this if this is important for you. The view was also disappointing - the back wall of some offices and appartments.
