...spent 8 days at the Leopard Beach Hotel. We had gone there to get married, and we spend our stay (before moving onto safari) in the Honeymoon Suite. The hotel is located on Diani Beach, pristine sandy beach and gorgeous sunshine. The thing that hits you first when you arrive at the hotel is the easy, attentive and friendly service. You are greeted at reception by a tall gentleman in a white robe and leopard print sash, he tells you not to worry about ... ...Food / Drink
Leopard beach has one main dining room for those guests who are booked in as half board (breakfast and dinner). Breakfast is buffet dining, but there are waiters on hand to provide and top up cups of tea and coffee when needed - and for the most part they are very attentive. Advantages: Wonderful setting and spa facilities Disadvantages: Beds very hard
We spent three nights here after a 2-week Kuoni safari through Kenya and were looking for sunshine and indulgence. The sun hardly shone but the indulgence made up for it! The hotel is situated in well maintained gardens on the beach south of Mombasa and the rooms are bungalows or pretty 2-storey blocks. We had a standard room which was clean, spacious, had a good sized bathroom and patio doors to your own outdoor seating area overlooking gardens ... ...door one day, rang reception and it was fixed within hours. Nothing was too much trouble for the very friendly staff. The food was the best on the whole holiday - fresh, hot when supposed to be, plentiful and served in a lovely setting overlooking the sea. Much of the meat was cooked to order - a complete change from the safari experience where the buffet offerings were often tired and lukewarm. We were on half board so only used one of the bars/bistros ...
