When I went to London recently I had to go and visit the London eye, my friends had been and said it was good. But, I had to check it out for myself.
We had to book over the phone how many tickets we wanted, which was relatively easy. We paid by credit card and our details were confirmed and we got our ride booked shall I say. The prices I thought were quite reasonable, to think you pay £4 for A rides at Blackpool and the London eye which costs ...

Getting there, there is a small café which is reasonably priced, but you can get on the eye within a half hour period, so you do not need to wait too long really. The eye is situated a five to ten minute walk from Waterloo East station, and obviously near the tube station. I assume London buses run near the ...

...altitude, you get to see London in its various perspectives as well. This gave the city the colour of personality. Part of London was shrouded in mist and fog as rain hit a certain area of town, near Westminster, the sun shone brightly behind Big Ben, lighting up the river and the bridge as the water caught and reflected the sunlight. you get a clear view of Buckinham Palace and the park and you just get a peak of St Pauls. The view of which is remniscent ...

I got the tube from Ealing Broadway to Westminister(I hope I've spelt that correctly I'm not to familiar with the tube stations!) and walked up to the wheel.
You could also travel to the London Eye by bus, Taxi or Car, but the underground is probably the fastest way to travel to the attraction.
So i reach the wheel and the first thing ...

Advantages: fantastic views of london Disadvantages: long queues, over in 30mins
The British Airways London Eye stands 135 metres above the London skyline and is situated on the South Bank of the River Thames next to Jubilee Gardens and County Hall. It is shaped like a giant bicycle wheel, each spoke leading to a glass pod which can hold 25 people. In total there are 32 glass pods, meaning the wheel can carry 800 passengers in one complete revolution. Each flight lasts for 30 minutes and allows passengers to hop on and off without ...

Advantages: great views on a clear day Disadvantages: no info for tourists
A trip on the London Eye was my boyfriend's treat to me for our 7th anniversary - how romantic!
On the ticket you are advised to turn up an hour before 'departure', and when we arrived, you could see why. The queues are hundreds of people long! We thought perhaps we wouldn't even make it to the front on time.
However, the line of people moves forward quickly, and there are stewards all along the way. Despite that, I wonder if perhaps it's quite ...

Last weekend I stayed in London for some hours and visited London Eye. I was faszinated about this really great ferriswheel. Here for you some good informations about it:
The British Airways London Eye is one of the most imaginative Millennium projects to have been conceived for London. In its inspiration and in its design it has drawn on the great tradition of celebratory structures such as the Ferris Wheel built for Chicago's World's ...

...Millenium Wheel - or the London Eye. Let me tell you a story...
One day in the Spring of last year, in an effort to cheer me up, my two friends decided to take me to have a girl's day in London. Our first stop was The London Eye.
We took the train from Southampton to Waterloo which as luck would have it is just a short walk down to the embankment. We could not fail to spot this most magnificent of structures to be erected in London since Nelson's ...

Advantages: Wonderful views. Great experience. Disadvantages: Can be busy. Can be cancelled if weather is bad.
The British Airways London Eye is located by the River Thames, near to Westinster Bridge and the Jubilee Gardens. It is easy to get to by public transport and there are tube stations located at Westminster (take exit 1 for Westminster Pier), Waterloo (take the South Bank exit which is number 6). and the Embankment. There are also, of course, the Mainline Stations of Waterloo and Charing Cross. There are a number of bus routes and bus tours that go ...

...wanted to go on the London Eye for a very long time- but was always looking for that ideal situation- the empty capsule. The queues always seemed too long, too chaotic, too many screaming children, too many sweaty bodies all clumped together in a sort of makeshift hothouse glass capsule.
After about a year, I realised I wasn't going to spend the princely sum required for hiring a private capsule (and face it, wasn't going to make a scene) so called ...

I was there on the day with my auntie +

impressed with the sheer size of the wheel,
not to mention the hype as well.

The london eye, one of the millennium projects along with the infamous dome and bridge and possibly the only successful one. Towering above the cityscape and reaching a height of 450 feet, this 30 mins flight is not that bad.
To get there is pretty easy as it is in central London though parking can be a bit of a problem, Westminster tube station is nearby and close to eye itself, it is easy to see which direction to go as the eye is pretty easy ...

I rode the Eye on a rainy day in spring and even then it was absolutely breathtaking. The views are absolutely amazing, and as there were only about a dozen people to a car there was no overcrowding and everybody got a really good view.
