Advantages: Great view, can see for miles, wonderful landmark. Disadvantages: View can get boring after 15 minutes.
...roof that practically houses the london eye.
The London Eye is an enjoyable and exciting couple of hours out....I say a couple of hours because the queues are massive.
In the queue you wait for a very long time and go up a walkway into a room with a green background. You stand in front of the background and they take a picture of you, which is then put into a picture of a capsule on a nice sunny day using blue screen technology. It's pretty cool, ...

Advantages: great views, cheaper than most attractions Disadvantages: can be long queues - book your ticket in advance
...home from a day-trip to London and I felt I had to write and tall you all about the London Eye.
I was dubious about this attraction at first - I felt it was money badly spent - as most of the government's other 'milennium' ideas were. But today, with queues at an absolute minimum, we felt that it was time to give it a chance. It only took us 5 minutes until we enetered our pod and the whole attraction lasted for half an hour - a good amount of ...

Advantages: Great views. Value for money. Easy to get to. Disadvantages: Needs a guide. Could be higher?
As someone who regularly visits London I always get the sense that I will never know it properly. I know separate areas well and I can navigate between them easily on the tube but I never seem to be able to connect the different parts together. Is Clapham north of Balham? Is Kensington west of Soho? The London Eye allows a visitor to do this, as well as providing great views of a city that has few other lofty vantage points, and none so central.

Last weekend I went to London and of course wanted to take a flight with the famous London Eye. First of all: Yes, it is worth doing it!
Facts
The London big wheal was sponsored by BA. This might explain, why you call it a flight with the London Eye and not a ride!
Originally, it was created specially for the entrance in the new century by the architects David Marks and Julia Barfield. The project took about 6 years to be completed, but ...

Advantages: Very good value, amazing views.! Disadvantages: Not long enough at the top
The London Eye was something i was excited about when i first heard about it. Then i heard that it cost £7.50 for a ride and was a bit put off. Dont be. It takes 32mins to rotate (at about walking pace) and is well worth it. You get an amazing view of the river and the rest of London and on a clear day you can see for miles. The cabins do not make you feel frightened of the height and are air conditioned. They are large enough to avoid claustraphobia ...

Advantages: Wonderful views of London Disadvantages: Bad weather would spoil views
For a unique experience in London you can't beat a trip on the London Eye. Admittedly I was apprehensive, as a person who is scared of fairground rides, would I be able to cope with being carried hundreds of feet in the air in a glass capsule? I wasn't sure, but decided to give it a go. Despite having timed tickets, my party had to queue for a hour before boarding our flight (as rides are called, no doubt as the wheel is sponsored by British Airways). ...

Advantages: Different views of the sights Disadvantages: not knowing what is what
...is planning a dayout in London then one of the must see attractions has got to be the Millenium Eye. Until you actually see it then you will not believe just how big it really is. If you have a clear day then it is a terrific way to see the whole of the London skyline. One piece of advice would be to invest in the guide book as otherwise you will spend the whole time guessing which buildings are which as there is no guide in the pods.
All in all ...

The London Eye is the largest ferris wheel type construction.
It is by the River Thames and affords a FANTASTIC veiw of London.
On a clear day you cam see for 30 miles in all directions and WHAT A SIGHT it is.
As a visitor to London it is well worth going up, the trip taks about 30 mins and is wonderful.

...wanted to go on the London Eye since it first opened but didn't have the chance till last December for my 14th birthday. Being last December I won't quite remember all of it.
My experience of the London Eye might have never happened because of thick fog, I mean I wouln't have wanted to go just to see nothing of London would I ! But luckily the fog cleared for a beutiful clear day.
The bad thing about popular attractions is the waiting in queues ...

...are well briefed and know London pretty well. They'll show you the bits you don't know and most of them are unemployed actors, so they're pretty affable.

Advantages: Everything! Disadvantages: The crappy photo
I went to the London Eye on a boiling hot day in August and had a MAGNIFICENT time to say the least! I only had a to queue for ten minutes to get onto the eey but I did have an advance tiicket, if you haven't got one then don't go because you won't get on it! The only bad thing is you have to have photo taken which turns out really crap and wastes your time. On the Eye the views are actually so amazing that you don't notice the sweat pouring down ...

Advantages: Very popular, very huge! Disadvantages: Very expensive
When I went on the London Eye I didn't quite know what to expect, but the first thing that struck me was that the prices were quite high - at £7.95 per person you could go out for a nice meal somewhere, but still I had to go on it. The next thing that is obvious are the huge queues in order to get a ticket and line up for the actual Wheel. Then, once your about to get on you get your photo taken for some reason, very gimmicky, but still they are out ...

Advantages: Great views, marvellous engineering Disadvantages: Queues, tacky stalls,
The magnificent big wheel by the Thames is London's great new attraction - but it has its faults. For £8.50 you can expect the greatest views of the city around, but you can also expect to queue. Even booking tickets in advance does not save you from the queues and we waited an hour before boarding our pod. The wheel is continually moving but so slowly you barely realise you are going round - and numbers are limited so you get plenty of room to wander ...

Advantages: Easily reached by public transport, great value for money, excellent sights of London Disadvantages: Big queues in peak seasons
...husband and I went to London for the weekend and we decided to try out one of the new millenium attractions- The London Eye.
Apparently we were very lucky to obtain tickets at such short notice, usually they are sold out 2 to 3 days ahead or longer , especially now school holidays are in full swing! We booked our tickets via the hotel concierge.
The following day we set off on our venture! It took us approx 25 minutes from leaving the hotel ...
