Advantages: Everything! Disadvantages: The crappy photo
I went to the London Eye on a boiling hot day in August and had a MAGNIFICENT time to say the least! I only had a to queue for ten minutes to get onto the eey but I did have an advance tiicket, if you haven't got one then don't go because you won't get on it! The only bad thing is you have to have photo taken which turns out really crap and wastes your time. On the Eye the views are actually so amazing that you don't notice the sweat pouring down ...

...definitely worth going on the London Eye once, the half an hour went so fast I had to check my watch. The views are stunning. However, the prices are a bit steep and you might need to be prepared for a long wait.

Advantages: Very popular, very huge! Disadvantages: Very expensive
When I went on the London Eye I didn't quite know what to expect, but the first thing that struck me was that the prices were quite high - at £7.95 per person you could go out for a nice meal somewhere, but still I had to go on it. The next thing that is obvious are the huge queues in order to get a ticket and line up for the actual Wheel. Then, once your about to get on you get your photo taken for some reason, very gimmicky, but still they are ... ...Well yes. The view of London is very spectacular you can see for miles around, but don't go on it if it looks like rain will shower down on you as this will spoil your viewing. I think that they could introduce a free food bar in each cabin because it isn't that interesting once you're up there, and the view of London does get a little boring, that you'll probably end up talking about the structure and cost of it. In all, a good attraction in London ...

The magnificent big wheel by the Thames is London's great new attraction - but it has its faults. For £8.50 you can expect the greatest views of the city around, but you can also expect to queue. Even booking tickets in advance does not save you from the queues and we waited an hour before boarding our pod. The wheel is continually moving but so slowly you barely realise you are going round - and numbers are limited so you get plenty of room to wander ... ...It is a great shame that Jubilee Gardens - a once pleasant park - is now a mess with damaged lawns. And it is dreadful that so many stallholders are allowed to put up their stands and sell rubbish and foul-smelling burgers so close to the attraction. Once the area is cleared up, a ride on the wheel will be a much more attractive experience. As it is, it comes highly recommended - don't forget the camera! ...

...husband and I went to London for the weekend and we decided to try out one of the new millenium attractions- The London Eye.
Apparently we were very lucky to obtain tickets at such short notice, usually they are sold out 2 to 3 days ahead or longer , especially now school holidays are in full swing! We booked our tickets via the hotel concierge.
The following day we set off on our venture! It took us approx 25 minutes from leaving the hotel (Oxford ... ...apart from the views over London getting vaster as we ascended! we could even see the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace taking place!
I was amazed and relieved that i did not suffer any of my usual fear of heights symptoms at all! I felt totally safe and relaxed.
Approximately 20 minutes later our capsule had completed it's full revolution and we got off elated with the experience. We went for lunch at one of the Cafes/Restaurants in ...

London this year. It should be a tourist's rule to take a trip on the
Eye whenever visiting London. When I went around the big Ferris
Wheel earlier this year I could have nothing bad to say about it.
The trip itself lasts for about half an hour and from the large
capsule you can most of the wonderful sights of London in a whole
new way. From the ground the wheel itself is a great sight to
behold but when you get up ... ...Looking down at the well known buildings to the
people on the ground the size of a thumbnail.
This is an experience that everyone should want to go through. You
need to pre-book otherwise you may be disappointed (if you do
pre-book there is no queing), but if you get up there disappointment
is not an option. ...

The first impression as you approach it is just how big it is, but I think comparisons to a ferris wheel are misleading in that they suggest a fairground ride. The eye is not at all like that - you are hardly aware of the movement and the carriages feel very safe. I'm slightly tentative about heights but had no qualms whatsoever during the half hour it lasted. The views afforded are ... ...£5.00 for children, £6.50 for senior citizens and registered disabled. This will sound expensive to some, but I consider it fair enough in comparison with other London attractions. Long queues are likely mid-afternoon during summer weekends. ...recent get-together with frienbds in London we decided to try and get tickets for the London Eye for the Saturday. Unfortunately Saturday tickets are booked up and the queues from the tickets that can be sold on the day are quite large. Instead we choose to queue up on the Friday after 30 minutes we had tickets for the eye and after 20 more we were in the capsule, slowly ascending in the London sky.
The view is immense and I onlywish that I knew ...

The London Eye can be slightly hit or miss, depending on the weather. In beautiful sunshine it is hard to beat. Contrary to expectations I was able to turn up and queue and the whole process took about 35 mins. The ride itself was great, very sedate, which meant that the vertigo sufferer with me didn't grab me in a fit of terror. The views are great, and although it cost 8 pounds each, I would say that on a good day weather wise it would be money ...

...of the ride I saw London in light and in dark. The ride goes very slowly and the capsule rotates, although you cannot feel it.
The views from the top are excellent. From what I can remember you could see as far as Harrow on the Hill, the hotel we were staying at that time. You could also see famous landmarks such as the MI5 building, St. Paul's Cathedral and the Houses of Parliament.

I went on the London Eye some time last summer, when the evenings were light and the sky was clear. It turned out to be the perfect time to go - about 9pm on a cloud-free June evening, and the sun is setting just about the time you get to the top of the wheel. We could literally see for miles - I can't remember the exact distance but I think our guide person pointed out Windsor castle, and that must be about 25 miles away. So you can imagine the ... ...London Eye. Even though I live in London it was a fun experience - I've always enjoyed doing touristy things here and it was great to see all the major sights in London during one half-hour ride. And we had the benefit of a beautiful sunset. I would definitely recommend it, but make sure you choose your day and time wisely. ...

As I know, London Eye is the world's highest wheel. It gives you unbelievable views of London. It rounds in 30 minutes and you enjoy the every minute you spend in The London Eye. The wheel rises to 450 feet. And when you reach highest point, the view is perfect. It is located just beside (above) the river Thames it has 32 capsules and you can watch the London very easily from the capsules. You can also take photo and make them put your photo on the ... ...time you spend in the London Eye. If you don’t book in advance you may have to wait in the queue. It is easy to arrive at The London Eye. The nearest stations are Westminster and Waterloo, which are in 5 minutes walking distance. It is open between 10:00 - 19:00 in the winter. ...135m High, and Round? The London Eye! You know, that thing which now stands proudly on the River Thames, Higher than Big Ben and the House of Parliament, it is London's Must See Attraction!
The Eye is Amazing, Brilliant, Super, words really can't describe, the amazing views you get from it! Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, St Pauls, The Millennium Dome, Canary Wharf, the list is endless. This may be one big spinning observation station, but its fun, ... ...you can see all over London from any position, and the cleverly places North, South, East and West signs, help you know what direction you are looking! It is a magical experience for everyone, and although you might have to brave the queues, this is something, which MUST NOT, under any circumstances, be missed on a visit to London.
