Advantages: Looks nice Disadvantages: Poor service, oily food, small portions
London Hong Kong is a Chinese restaurant which bills itself as selling "authentic Cantonese and Peking Cuisine". It is based at 388 Bath Road, West Drayton, Middlesex UB7 0DH. It is very close to the airport and I've been told that it is frequented by airline staff. I cannot confirm the validity of what I've been told but I can recount to you my first and last experience of dining at this restaurant.
The website address of the restaurant is http://www.london-hk.co.uk ... ...fare. We live in West London and the minimum fare around where we live is £6.00 for the shortest of journeys. It seemed everyone was out to rip us off this evening! When I came home I worked out how much the bill should have been - they had basically overcharged us by £7 as well as the service charge.
I've double checked the prices on the restaurant's website; they're the same prices I saw on the menu. I don't mind paying additional charges when ...

Advantages: NONE Disadvantages: You would be better of at mcdonalds
I made the mistake of taking my wife and 2 young children to this restaurant before a flight to the USA the next day. We were staying at the Sheraton just up the road and this restaurant is near. When we got into the restaurant there and nuts on the table we ate them while waiting to place our order. After ordering we asked the woman the cost so far as we could tell from the menu it was pricey.
The woman said about 46 pounds which was fine the first ... ...pancakes and about 8 bits of cucumber I asked for some more as it was not enough to go with half a duck the 4 main courses came out some sweet and sour chicken I think the chicken had died of old age it was like leather terrible the rice was cold, the restaurant was not busy so I don’t know why it was so bad, I sent it back and changed it for chicken and mushroom and that had been reheated and tough as the first dish.
I wont bore you with any more ...

Quick review of London Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant (Heathrow)
I totally disagree. My experience at the London Hong Kong restaurant was great and I will eat there again next time I am at Heathrow in November.
Myself, my husband and my parents had dinner there as we drove from Southampton to drop them at Heathrow. We chose one of the set meals. The welcome was good, the staff were friendly and the food was fantastic. Our starters were so tasty, none of the greasy food mentioned in the other review and the duck pancakes were different to our local Chinese but they were very good. By the time the main course came we were too full to eat much but it was of the same standard as the other courses. They served us with some of the coldest beer we have ever had (coke in my case as the driver!) and as soon as someones bottle/glass was empty the staff were there to offer another drink. My only advice for the manager of this restaurant is not to let your staff eat KFC in the main restaurant! There were a couple of them on their breaks and although we found it funny others might not.
All in all I would highly recommend this restaurant, and its position close to the airport means a great start to a holiday without having to suffer some of the airport 'restaurants'! We are actually staying in an airport hotel the night before our next holiday just so we can have dinner there again. ...

Advantages: Great food, friendly people, clean restaurant and easy to park. Disadvantages: Pricey but still good value
I'm a great fan of this restaurant. Have been there on a number of occasions and find the food consistently excellent. Personal favourites include Mandarin Spare Ribs and Satay Prawns on a Skewer, Mixed Roast Platter (Cantonese Roast Duck, Crackled Crispy Pork and Char Siu Pork) and a delicious Mango Pudding. Dim Sum at lunchtime is also very good. Regularly see a lot of Chinese people in there and so it is likely to be very "authentic Cantonese ...

Quick review of London Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant (Heathrow)
The prices are on the high side but the food is excellent in this Chinese on the Bath Road right by the airport. Service is very good but beware if paying by credit card that 10% is already included but they leave the gratuity open and they DO expect more. The atmosphere is very good, always has a buzzy feel about it even when not that busy. Staff are always waiting by the door to welcome you. ...

Advantages: has lots of tables, looks nice Disadvantages: Service is awful.
I have frequented this place mainly with my family for dim-sum and evening meals. Expect slow and poor service. Once we ordered food and there were about twenty of us, we received enough rice for about 4 and were informed we would have to wait for rice!! The very same meal we ordered wine, the only place it materialised was on the bill. We ordered some chicken and were told an hour later the chicken was off. I enquired to why they had no told us ... ...apparently lost the abilty to understand english and pretended he couldn't understand me. Another occasion we had to wait 20 mins for icecream for the children. I refuse to go eat inthis place anymore. Service is useless at dealing with any complaints. All in all a nice place to look at, but over priced, shocking service and check your bill!! Food quality is as you'd expect for the prices. Portion size is stingy. ...
