Review of Longleat Safari Park by arnoldhenryrufus

Advantages: A fun filled day for the family
Disadvantages: Can only go around the safari once.

LONGLEAT SAFARI PARK Every year around my youngest birthday in July it has been a family tradition for her dad to take her and her sister out for the day, last year I joined them as it was my daughters 21st birthday; this year I went along again and this time we visited Longleat Safari Park. It is not a problem going along with my ex husband as we have always remained friends since our divorce. Before our visit we checked on their website for ... Read review

Diamond review   All thats missing is Steve Erwin
Review of Longleat Safari Park by mrsmopples

Advantages: Youy get a chanced to see wild animals in all their glory and in great surroundings
Disadvantages: CaN work out expensive and busy at peak season

...might be helpful to nominate Longleat as one of the nicest attractions to take your family. I have been fortunate to visit Longleat twice, springtime last year and then prior to that in August 2002. Longleat House and the safari park are set in 900 acres of stunning grounds and owned by Lord Bath, this has been in his family for generations, since 1580 to be exact. Giant Redwoods surround the area, giving the park its grand entrance as you drive ... Read review

Diamond review   Maybe I am just a big kid?????
Review of Longleat Safari Park by nursie_nursie

Advantages: Educational as well as great fun, with something to interest all ages.
Disadvantages: The long queues at peak times but they are worth it!

...thirty minutes drive distance of Longleat so I have visited on rather a lot of occasions and in the last three years I have been there four times, going round the safari park twice in that time. So I should know the place rather well by now! Before getting to the gate you need to know what you would like to visit within the grounds, as this is where you pay. That said on our last visit they did not do this it was that you parked and went to pets ... Read review

Funky Monkey Fun
Review of Longleat Safari Park by brereton66

Advantages: It's fantastic.
Disadvantages: Too much for one day

Longleat House and Safari Park Recently spending a week at the Longleat Forest Center Parcs it would have been a real missed opportunity not to visit the famous safari park that is on the doorstep. So it was that we took a day out of our stay to call in, have a picnic and see the sights. Longleat is much more than just a safari park and includes a magnificent house, extensive grounds, attractions and also a time warped little village. There ... Read review

Diamond review   Longleat - The English African Safari
Review of Longleat Safari Park by elfbwillow

Advantages: Everything!
Disadvantages: Limited disabled access to certain attractions

Longleat Safari Park If you are under the impression that Longleat Safari Park is for the enjoyment of children only, then let me start by saying that this is one huge misconception. Even those who have closed hearts and minds will be softened and astounded by the vast and immense grounds and gratifying atmosphere this park holds. I had been to many zoo's and safari parks in the past, though when I began to watch 'Animal Park' on the television, ... Read review

Diamond review   **You Can't Beat Longleat!**
Review of Longleat Safari Park by elephants69food_0

Advantages: A good day out
Disadvantages: Lazy animals!

...take a day out at Longleat Safari Park. It's not just as simple in jumping in the car as we live on the Isle of Wight. We had to book a ferry and try to get it at a cheap price. The cheapest we could get was £30 for a day return from Yarmouth to Limington. The Ferry takes half and hour to cross the Solent and from Limington it is a fairly straight forward drive getting up to Longleat. We headed towards Salisbury as we have been there several ... Diamond review   They're just big pussy cats really!
Review of Longleat Safari Park by MHam

Advantages: great day out
Disadvantages: driving through Bath to get there

...watching all the animals of Longleat safari park. So when Granny offered to take us for the day over half term, no one was about to say no! Longleat is dead easy to find, provided you look at a map first but take the A36 out of Bath heading towards Warminster and you soon pick up the signs. The first time I tried to go with my husband I tried to remember the way from when I was a kid, it’s a long story but suffice it to say we ended up in Stonehenge ... Read review

Great Day For All The Family!
Review of Longleat Safari Park by LIZKEMPO

Advantages: great fun, animals and so much more
Disadvantages: Not so good if it rains

Longleat I have just returned from a 4 day break with my parents and sister at Centre Parc’s Longleat, the purpose of our break was to view Longleat Safari park and it was well worth the trip. What’s it all about: Longleat is more than just a safari and has plenty of things to see and do for the whole family. I will go through each attraction separately and give you my experience. Safari Park The safari section, this was the main ... Read review

Review of Longleat Safari Park by WormThatTurned

Advantages: Value for money, Range of attractions.
Disadvantages: Queuing at busy times, Monkey damage.

Longleat House and Safari Park is one of the best known stately homes open to the public, it has been hugely popular for years and last month I visited with my girlfriend for the very first time. I had visited Windsor Safari park as a kid but couldn't remember much about it hence I was not knowing what to expect ! ~How to get there~ Longleat is situated a few miles from Warminster, Wiltshire, just off the A303 and A36. Bath, Bristol and Salisbury ... Read review

So-fari so good
Review of Longleat Safari Park by bigmike33

Advantages: A great family day out, great attractions
Disadvantages: Quite expensive

Intro>>> I've visited Longleat a few times and keep wanting to go back even though I've gone round all of the attractions more then once. There is definately a draw to the place that keeps me coming back, or maybe it's just because I love watching animals in their habitats. The last time I went to Longleat was a few months ago, so it was rather busy with the children on summer holiday, but thankfully this didn't spoil the day. There is quite a ... Read review

...is 'supposed' to be about Longleat Safari Park, but there is so much more to Longleat than just this, so if you will excuse me, I will expand. ##Longleat Safari Park## At the start of this journey, you are presented with a CD or Cassette Tape (your choice). Listening to this on the way round gives you a great opportunity to learn about the various animals that you are about to see. The park is split into various sections *East Africa Reserve Here ... Animals, Hedges, Mazes and a beautiful house
Review of Longleat Safari Park by Panda1976

Advantages: You will see everything with the price on one ticket
Disadvantages: you need more than one day

We decided to go to Longleat mainly for the animals and the safari park however as we found out there was so much more to do there than just that! You can either purchase a Passport ticket for £18.00 which entitles you to one visit to each of the attractions. There are loads more than you think- safari park, pets corner, the house, the hedge maze, butterfly house, train. If you buy entry into all the attractions individually then it ends up costing ... LIONS AND TIGERS AND BEARS OH MY......
Review of Longleat Safari Park by Zoe30

Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: Some restrictions for the disabled

Longleat house and safari park is situated in Wiltshire, with a house of outstanding beauty and many acres of manicured lawns and gardens to explore this is the ideal family day out not only for the young, but for all ages. Longleat house has opened its doors for the safari since 1966, by becoming the first drive through park outside of Africa, the safari park allows the animals to roam free across hundreds of acres of land and to interact with ... Roars and a 'Get off the bloody paintwork'!
Review of Longleat Safari Park by Emma1973

Advantages: Excellent value for money
Disadvantages: Food a bit pricey and none too special

...countryside to the rather stunning Longleat estate. There is no grandiose entrance to Longleat, rather a single windy track to a small entrance area,. Here is a very reasonably priced shop and toilets. (Most recommended as the safari area is quite long). Here is where you can choose to go straight to the house and grounds or through the safari, but why anyone would come all the way here and not do that bit is beyond me. Aah, the prices, a very ... ...the right turning). There's a longleat site map, a day planner, accessibility information, gift shop info (5 shops with various memorabilia), catering (two restaurant/cafes which offer hot food and snacks). A list of local accommodations incl. b&bs, hotels, pubs/inns, camping & caravan sites are provided on the website for those who are travelling far. I highly suggest having a look at the day planner as it tells you how long each attraction requires. ... Read review
