...the major attractions to the Luxor, I am right in suggesting that although people do use the casino, they don’t always go here, this is because there are so many other casinos in and around Vegas, the MGM and Bellagio has the better ones, but the Luxor one is also nicely done. With a large selection of card tables, slots located around the hotel, and a live sports room, were you can bet on horse racing, soccer, tennis and anything else.
Overall ... ...was less about the gambling and casino aspect and more about the features, the food, the nightlife, the entertainment and the things to do, whereas other hotels namely the big two focus more on giving the casino wow factor. Be prepared to take some extra cash with you as you could soon find yourself on the blackjack table. ...

Advantages: Amazing. Huge. Lose To Do. Fun. Disadvantages: Not Cheap.
...is across the road from Luxor, and that has over 5000 rooms. It looks so big, it's scary! There is so much to do in Las Vegas, but also in Each hotel. The Luxor is a huge tourist attraction and lose of people go there.
In Las Vegas, you don't book a hotel, go there and just wake up; go downstairs to have breakfast and sit at the pool for a couple of hours. Las Vegas and the hotels are jam packed with people, this is because they are all unique and ... ...The hotel was called The Luxor, and was based on Luxor (the place) in Egypt. It has huge Egyption models in it, and the hotel is based on Egypt. This also explains why it is a huge pyramid. Although it was tempting, and would be the best slide you would of ever been on, and the last slide, it is not a good idea to smash the window and slide down the pyramid. I imagine your bum would burn because of the glass being hot, and the friction. Also i don't ...

...to come back to the Luxor, get into my swim gear and head out by the pool for a few hours of relaxation. Thats one of the best things about Las Vegas, although I was finishing at 4pm I could still go and get plenty of sun until at least 7pm (this was in May) the pool itself wasnt very deep but was quite big, there was enough room to swim a few leisurely lengths although at the time I was the only one doing this. The other people there were mainly ... ...to tell you about the Luxor, except that I think its one of the most impressive hotels on the strip, it stands out a mile, particularly at night when it has a laser beam that comes up out of the pyramid and shines 2 miles into space apparently! From what I can see of prices they change depending on the night. The cheapest you could get a deluxe room in one of the Towers was for $99 suites were from as low as $194 rising to $500, but from my experiene ...

...said they played at the Luxor, just for the atmosphere. I have to agree with them.
Part of the trip was spent visiting over 30 other hotels both on and off the strip, and we spent some time in other casinos.
Sorry to say, but the croupiers just are not as friendly as Luxor's.
Yes, yes, yes, I can hear the cynics out there yet again saying 'they only want your money!!' - so what? If they can be nice and friendly at the same time, when I went to ... ...the time, then it makes the whole process even more enjoyable!!!
Do sign up for the loyalty card when you arrive. TIP - if you play poker, make sure they swipe your card when you start and finish playing or you will not get your points!! I played on average one hour when we came in for the night, usually around 3am in the morning. By the end of ten days, I had a souvenir of a t-shirt plus money off my final hotel bill. Would have had more had hubby ...

Advantages: Affordable hotel on the Las Vegas strip Disadvantages: Prices skyrocket at weekends
...of the Strip to the Luxor, so could drive down and look at all the amazing sights. The Luxor itself is one of the last hotels on the Strip, just before Mandalay Bay. We went in off-peak season, which in Vegas is around July-August. It was extremely hot throughout our stay there-over 100F every day. A key thing to remember is that Vegas is in the middle of the desert, so the heat is dry and uncomfortable at times. The Luxor itself is a wonderful and ... ...$70-$80 a night, although at the weekends expect to pay up to 4x as much, depending on the season. Always book before you go, in order to get a better deal than the standard walk in rate, which will most definately be higher than online rates. Since we were there as a family we had 2 rooms-one double and a single in the pyramid, rather than the tower. Our rooms overlooked the next property along, which is the Excalibur. Being a pyramid the windows ...

Advantages: Iconic place to stay. Disadvantages: Decor was tired and a bit shabby
We stayed at the Luxor twice recently. Our first impression after a transatlantic flight was WOW!!! It was huge! I have never seen a hotel on this scale before. It took us over an hour to check in, we were queing for aboslutely ages, and I have no idea why as we were the only ones from our flight staying there! It felt a bit like queing for a ride at Disney world! Our room was on the 21st floor and again it was huge, we were blown away but after ... ...either. The following morning we went to look at the pool and spa and casino. Again the sheer size of everything is amazing and we were gobsmacked. I think we walked about with our mouths open for ages! I sampled the spa and it was lovely, nothing special but for 60 dollars you cant complain. The pool areas were absolutely packed because they had roped of one of the pools for work. We had breakfast in the hotel which was very pricey but good. We ...

Advantages: On strip, cheap, big rooms, great casino Disadvantages: end of strip
I went to vegas for my first time last year, and when booking was advised to stay here, and I am glad we did. It has all the expereince in staying in one of the top strip hotels, but at a cheaper rate than the ones further up the strip.
Our room was HUGE, it had two double beds, the bathroom had a bath a HUGE walk in shower (big enough for about 5 people). We had a TV, the 2 double beds, air con, tea coffee maker, table and two chairs. We didn't ... ...is pure glass which is amazing as we could see out into Vegas, even if it was not the strip side. You are charged by the room there so I believe we could of had four people in the room and still pay the same. Some rooms have connecting doors so you could go in a large group and open up these doors.
There are two parts when referring to rooms here, The towers and the pyramid. We stayed in one of the towers
The price was quite cheap compared to other ...

Advantages: beautiful, cheap, clean Disadvantages: at the far end of the strip
One word for this hotel - AMAZING. The Luxor is a beautiful, well built hotel and is a must for anybody going to Las Vegas. I did visit all the hotels on the Strip and I have to say that the Luxor was defintely the one that stood out. Yes all the hotels are amazing on the outside, but the Luxor outshone the rest with its interior. I found the other hotels to be disappointing on the inside, but the Luxor lived up to the exterior. Inside, it carried ... ...was paid attention to. The range of restaurants was excellent - you could have cheap to the very expensive. The hotel room was lovely - very big and very clean. This was one thing that I did notice and that was that the Luxor was clean, everywhere. This hotel is highly recommended and is at the cheap end of the hotels, but it is not of a cheap standard. Far from it. ...
