Advantages: So life-like, you think they're real!! Disadvantages: The queue.
MADAME TUSSAUD'S, MARYLEBONE ROAD, LONDON NW1 - (NEAREST TUBE IS BAKER STREET ON THE BAKERLOO LINE) - Madame Tussaud's has got to be one of the most amazing places I have ever visited! It isn't a museum as such, but more of an interactive exhibit. I was able to get right up close to my favourite celebrities. They are so life-like, it is trully uncanny. They've recently unveilled Chris Tarrant, who most of you will recognise from ITV's "Who Wants ... ...to the London Planetarium and Madame Tussaud's. The adult combined ticket is around £14.45 and a child is around £10.50. I forgot to mention that kids under 5, wheelchair users and their carer go in for free. The only draw-back is the queue, however this can be avoided. MT has introduced a 'Fast-Track' system and 'Timed-Ticket Entry'. Basically, the Fast Track system is when you buy your tickets in advance, either by phone, by internet (www.madame-tussauds.co.uk), ...

Advantages: Interesting, Fun, Lots to see Disadvantages: Very Expensive
I went to this attraction on Saturday because the Rock Circus has shut down and I wanted to go and see some wax!
When we approached the attraction on Marylebone Street I was plesently suprised there wan't much of a queue. How wrong could I be! I got inside and had to queue for about an hour in and out of windy ropes. Once I reachy the top near the pay counter I was told the prices for entry and was absolutely shocked. It was £24.99 per adult! As ... ...there was no way out we had no choice but to pay and enjoy the show. There are several rooms you go through, the first being a bit of a mix of stars. There were people like David and Victoria Beckham, Colin Farell, John Travolta, J-Lo, that bloke from the Darkness, tu pac, Graeme Norton, the Big Brother Diary Chair, Jennifer Aniston and many more. We went through to the Pirate Ship with Jonny Depp and Kiera Knightly which was very dark and packed ...

Advantages: great fun Disadvantages: somethings weren't explained
Madame Tussaud's, this has to be one of the most well known London tourist attractions. It is so popular because it's different and fascinating.
For anyone that doesn't know what Madame Tussaud's is, it's the place in London where famous people are made into waxwork models. So they have a twin made out of wax. It is fascianting some look more realistic than others but still great.
I went down to London last July, and I loved it! the only thing ... ...go to an attraction and Madame Tussauds was first to come to mind. I went and having passes I skipped the queue and got in right away. As soon as I walked in, it was busy, I got out my camera and started gettig my photo taken with famous celebs and the one that was funny was me with Brad Pitt. They all looked so great, Barbara Windsor she is tiny, but she looked so real. There are different sections, concert, royal family, war leaders, singers etc. ...

Advantages: Realistic Models Disadvantages: Expensive, not that big
Madame Tussauds is a good place to go, but you will not be there all day. I only went because i have an annual pass to tussauds attractions, and i wanted to fill some time and see what it was like.
It is a fun day out (not really day, i got round it in 2 hours!) but it is very expensive if you dont have a pass. It is also very crowded, so when you get your picture taken with the wax works, you are almost always in someone elses picture too! There ... ...different sections like divas, sports, world stage, chamber of horrors etc. They are also really realistic - you feel like they're going to move. The Graham Norton one talks when you touch 'him' which suprised me.
It is really a matter of luck whether you can get your picture taken with some of the wax works. Some of them are really popular (like J-Lo) and people are always taking pictures, so unless you push people out the way, it is more likely ...

...other half and kids to Madame Tussauds. There was, as ever, a considerable queue to get in. Having eventually got in, I was delighted to see that one of the first waxworks on display was Mr T! Many of the waxworks don't look too convincing, although there are a couple that look uncannily real. The kids were pleased to have their pictures taken with numerous 'stars' and overall the visit proved to be reasonable value for money. The Chamber of Horrors ...

I highly recommend this museum to all tourists and locals but remember to leave on time because of the queues outside. Summer is very bad queues start from the entrance of Madame Tussauds right back to the planetarium. ...

Advantages: Very entertaining Disadvantages: a part might be too frightening for the youngsters
Tussauds is known all over. Not limited to London anymore, but also on the Dam in Amsterdam, it’s become one with the concept of wax statues. Tussauds reputation is well deserved: what started as an elderly woman making wax statues, has now become a big company with high entertainment value. See the Royal Family, and some of other European Royals, celebrities… Visit the horrors in the dark basement, where Old Sparkey still does its job. (Though I ...

Advantages: Very life-like waxworks Disadvantages: Long queues to get in
...early 80's I returned to Madame Tussauds not expecting a great afternoon to be honest. The queue on arrival was about 200 metres long and it took nearly an hour to get in. It cost over a tenner but I have to say it was well worth it and I would recommend it to anyone visiting London. All the waxworks very scarily realistic (even down to the spots and dimples on some). Some were so life-like it felt like they were watching you as you walked around ... ...presidents from around the world and the Beatles(?!)
The best part of all has to be the chamber of horrors which is quite eerie and definately has to be seen, although maybe not for small children.
Madame Tussauds is definately worth a visit, especially if you've never been before. ...

Advantages: Being able to take photos of one another with most of the models Disadvantages: The dreadful finale in the former Planetarium
The website tended to put me off with too much mystery about what to expect, threats of long queues, unclear pricing and pressure to book a timed arrival slot. Waxworks were generally excellent, with some exceptions such as Elvis. The ability to get up close and take photos of one another with the stars was great. Fortunately we had a digital camera although there had been no advice to bring one. Taxi ride concept was good but was too hurried and ... ...be much better if run at half speed with a more informative commentary.
Unable to comment on the Chamber of Horrors because the build-up scared our teenage girls from actually going in.
The finale in the old Planetarium was total rubbish - a pathetic 'entertainer' (who must surely get depressed at the lack of audience response) and an extremely disappointing 'film'. I never saw the old astronomy-based show, but it must have been better than this. ...

Advantages: The dundeons are pretty cool. Disadvantages: Very limited.
...with a place such as Madame Tussauds it is a personnal opinion on what you like, but I was rather dissapointed with it. Although the models were very lifelike, I felt that they were very limited in numbers.
Most of them were of older people, and with the amount of publicity claiming it is full of recent celebrities there really were not that many. One thing that was very impresive was the dungeons, they were probly the best part of it, and they ... ...I think the fact that Madame Tussauds in London is not the only one now makes a big difference, as it all gets spread around and you dont get to see it all.

...second time ive been to madame tussauds and again I loved it. Theres aways a huge queue to get in but its worth waiting. There are many different rooms with a lot of models in each, I'll try to get the rooms in the right order :s. the first room is like a celebrity prom, there is a small water feature to your right and on the other side of the room they have a big brother area, a model of davina on a stage that you can get your picture taken with ... ...this room include Will Smith, Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears, Tom Hanks, Graham Norton and a load of others.
You then walk through Pirates of the Carribbean, here you can choose to walk straight through or go have a look at the models, this area was the busiest when I went and I had to wait a while. There are 3 models here, Orlando Bloom (Will Turner), Johnny Depp (Capt. Jack Sparrow) and Keira Knightly (Elizabeth Swann). The next room has the Incredible ...

MADAME TUSSAUDS, LONDON
GETTING THERE: i live near by oxford, so we drove into london, once your there its quite easy to find, recodnisable by the huge dome. It's right next to the baker street tube station.
HISTORY:
madam tussauds was a french woman who made wax-work faces by pouring melted wax onto the faces of famous people who had been executed (decapatated).
COSTLY:
A trip to madam tusauds is an expensive day however, for one person, for ... ...little extra.
In conclusion, Madame Tussaude's is a great trip to have done, it could be a stressful day if you go at peak time or aren't properly prepared, mabey it's not best for young children.
i give it around 7/10 for my experiance. ...

The 21th January, I was in London to visit the city. It was fabulous and wonderful! My best time was Mme Tussaud's museum.
But what's this Museum?
It's an exhibition about a lot of wax figurines. MMe Tussaud is a french woman who was born in Strasbourg. She was Married with François Tussaud. She has different museum all of the world: New York, London , Amsterdam...
But what can we find in?
The museum has different part.
Blush:
It's the part ... ...Brad Pitt, David Bkham or Jean Paul Gaulthier. There, we are in a party with music, lights and... stars!
Temporary Attraction Area:
The part of the heroes and the recordman! You will meet Superman, Hulk, Michael Jackson ( now, he doesn't have the same face!) or Steven Spielberg.
World Stage
It's the part of the politician , the queens... It's the bigger part of the museum but it's annoying. Do you want to take photographs with Bush, Blair, Ben ...

About 6 years ago I worked at Tussaud's as an exhibition guide, my job was to make sure no customer touched the models.
People dont know but alot goes into making the models, from measuring, distinguished marks donation of clothes etc etc, before I worked there i had visited once and I learned a great deal, most items in there are origonals and most of the clothes the celebs have on are donated from them that was one of the conditions.
I think ... ...however if you are fasinated by wax then it is well worth a visit.
I would like to say that the Chamber of horrors even though I worked down there alone hundreds of times still scares me to this day, many occasions that I worked at private parties there I sware that ghost's were walking around down there many a time I have had to escape to the above level as I have been spoked.
still worth a visit though but could be cheaper. ...
