Advantages: Cheap alcohol, and, er, more cheap alcohol Disadvantages: No fun if you're not a student (maybe)
Majestyk is generally thought to be Leeds’ answer to the superclub. So is it all it’s cracked up to be?
Well, as a ‘dedicated’ student of the University of Leeds, and a regular Majestyk-goer, I feel I have a fair bit of knowledge on this subject.
First things first, Majestyk is not as huge as people seem to think it is – it’s a sort of big, sweaty pit, which is all very well if you like that kind of thing. For ... ...make the most of your Majestyk experience – get so drunk you fail to notice its shortcomings. And get drunk you will. The special offers in Majestyk are great! Their mid-week student nights are the ideal time to go, with amazing offers on drinks (60p a pint, etc.) and not much of a charge to get in in the first place. These mid-week nights are arguably the most fun night out in Leeds for people who don’t take their clubbing seriously. ...

Advantages: Massive and amazing lasers Disadvantages: Can get very crowded on the dancefloor, even when the rest of the club is empty
...banners hanging outside. Majestyk used to be a bingo hall and the main room is absolutely humongous. The dancefloor is situated in the centre of the club with the DJ booth postioned at the far end of it. There are plenty of platforms around to prance about on but the dancefloor does get very crowded, which can be rather annoying when you are trying to get down to your favourite tune. The sound and lighting on the dancefloor are both very good, the ... ...to the toilet. Majestyk is open Tuesday to Saturday and they often have special events on Bank Holiday Sunday's, such as Back 2 Basics and they hosted a Sugar Shack / Union special with Paul Oakenfold and Timo Mass last October. Tuesday to Thursday are student nights with quite cheap drinks and is simply the place to be on a Tuesday if you are in the first year. The entrance is about £3 with NUS, but they are often flyering in the local area and ...

Advantages: Fashionable club, large, good DJ's and music Disadvantages: Suffers from the same fate as other clubs i.e. a lot of people there are big heads, expensive drinks, toilets in unfit state towards end of night
...and full of attitude. Was Majestyk any different?
Last weekend I went up to Leeds to visit a friend, who is working there in his year out from University. I was aware that the night life in Leeds is supposed to be one of the best in the country, and everyone I spoke to, said that I should visit Majestyk. It came as little surprise when my friend suggested that we went there!
So what do you get? Well, Majestyk is probably Leeds’ most well ... ...floor - and even when you get it, you can be sure that some arrogant, drunk idiot will push you out of the way! However, that said I did enjoy my night a great deal, and Majestyk wasn’t as cliched as some of the other clubs I have been to! ...

...station and the bus stops, majestyk can only be described as a super club. The place is MASSIVE and could be filled twice over on any given night so get there early.
Underneath majestyk and a good place to start the night is Jumping Jaks. Open earlier than majestik you pay £3 NUS £4 otherwise to get in (that includes entry to majestik). Smaller, easier to get to the bar and good music means that Jumping Jaks provides the ideal build up to a big ... ...way through the double doors at the back and prepare yourself for what lies ahead.
The first thing you will notice is a small food counter, you may thing this is a good idea but don't fall into the trap and buy something because its NASTY and way overpriced, so instead of spending your taxi money on a nasty burger save it for one of the tastier take outs located nearby.
The next thing you will see is the HUGE dance floor, with the combination of ...

Advantages: guarenteed shag Disadvantages: you're likely to catch an STD (and thats just from the toilet seat!)
Majestyks has got to be by far the worst club i have ever been unfotunate enough to set foot in and believe me i have been to some real dives in my time!
The place is basically set out as a pervy old mans paradise. The average age of customers is somewhere around 15. The girls are generally pissed up slappers and the blokes hang out in packs in identical shirts.
If you are on a night out in Leeds i recommend you go anywhere but here - the train ...

Advantages: Very big and reasonable price Disadvantages: Need to get there early if a stag party
May i just say that i visited Majestics last weekend as part of a Stag Night. It's an excellent club. cost was only £6 which i thought was very reasonable for a Saturday night. the music was excellent with a full range of tastes catered for. For any prospetive stag nights in Leeds i suggest you do what we did. Get there early (opens at 10pm). I think they smaller the que to less choosey they are about who they let in. We staggered our entry inot ... ...in without a problem. If you havn't been there it is huge, with about 3 floors of balconies over looking the dance floor. These areas are good to chill out in as you are able to chat to friends without having to shout. Don't know if it was our luck but there seemed to be alot of hen parties there aswell. I would definatley recommend this club. Worth a visit even if you are not from Leeds. We travelled from Norwich, London, Oxford together with some ...
