Malaga, nice but they still kill bulls...

Advantages: Shops etc open late, Beautiful Beach, Amazing Cathedral.
Disadvantages: Noisy, dirty, has Bull Ring.

I've not even been back a week, but feels like months ago that I went to Malaga. Back in the cold and gloom! I have never been to Spain before, and the decission was partly due to availability. I was waiting on the return of my Passport from Passport House, and so no holiday could be booked until then. I booked online at about midnight on 11/01/03, and we flew out at 6.25am on 12/01/03. So no time to buy phrase book, or learn any lingo! This was ...
...take a phrase book. On our return a friend kindly told me that you will deffinately have more fun out there if you can speak some Spanish. (Thanks, that's real helpful now!) Once out there, we could not find any Phrase Books, and did not even find a Guide Book in English until our third day! I felt held back by this, and would deffinately want to know some minimal Spanish at least, next time. (Oh yes, I want to return, maybe not to Malaga, but near ...

Legend under rain

Advantages: landscapes
Disadvantages: -

Valleys that seem postal alpine, broken throats and like forests, rumorosos mountain rivers, abundant rains, shady forests of firs, flocks of eagles... all adorned it with the whitest pueblecitos of Andalusia. To whatever a landscape with the previous paragraph was described to him, hardly it would imagine that it referred to a the south of Spain, but is certain, it is the Mountainous area of Round, formed by gigantic bulks with names like Mountain ...
...Park of Grazalema, in the province of Malaga, where it is lived here with another class of clock, according to the growth of the pinsapos. The natural Park of Grazalema includes more than 51,000 hectares by itself, having a pluviométrico registry of the annual average of about 2000 Ls. Before and mainly from the English invasion of Gibraltar, the brigands used these ways of the mountainous area to deal and to encamp to their wide ones, settling down ...

Malaga - Torremolinos.

Advantages: shopping
Disadvantages: nightlife

I went to malaga in 2007, I wasn't impressed at all, personally I think this may stem from the hotel and if you haven't got a good place to stay, it usually would hinder the holiday experience. Although, saying this there were a few good aspects of the holiday, the beach was lovely, plenty of sunloungers with comfortable cushions which we had to pay a small fee for for the whole day. The route to the beach wasnt very good there were steep hills and ...
...a lot of people - there is a lift though. Another good point was the shops, they were open very late and when i was there, there were lots of sales on in good shops, Malaga has good shops like zara. A bad point in my opinion was the entertainment, we went at peak season and there wasnt a lot to do, and not much going on for families. The eating out part, there probally wasnt much of one, we didnt find one nice place to eat, just the typical tapas ...

Beautiful Malaga

Advantages: Fantastic weather, lovely views, Amazing holiday
Disadvantages: Dirty, alot of constuction work

I go to Malaga about 2 times a year as my partners father lives over there. This is the first and only place that i have been abroad so my review is only based on this country as i have not been to any others apart from england of corse!!! The weather is amazing but obiviously it depends where you are as my partners parents live up a mountain!! so it mostly really hot but it can also be cloudy!! I haven't been out there yet when it hasn't been cloudy. ...
...humid or hard to breath!! Its just fantastic warm weather!! If you haven't been abroad before the experience is amazing, the veiws are unbeleivable mountains everywhere! clear blue seas and its just amazing how they build villages just about anywhere!!! It really is something you have to see for yourself its hard to describe the feeling you get when you see the amazing views!! Most of the times that we have been out there it has been the Spanish ...

Torrox park, Costa del sol, Malaga

Advantages: quiet, pretty lanscapes, value for money, nice friendly people, relaxing, good amount of sunshine all year
Disadvantages: not a destination for everyone, need to know a little of the lingo, not very well developed area yet!

The first visit to this area was last september 2003. Both my husband and myself fell in love with the area. Although it is not a holiday for everyone. It will be a up and coming area of malaga in the future. We bought a 2 bed apartment in april 2004 on the urbanization torrox park for 117,000 euro as we were impressed by the area and the quality of the building work that was being undertaken on the site. The site itself has a main pizza eating ...
...steak is a must for meat eaters. There are several small shops which sell everything from food to beach wear. On the site is also a camping area for tents, caravans, and log cabins. This has excellent facilities which include a clubhouse serving food and drinks, Internet connection, sky tv, pool table and they also serve sunday lunch and have theme nights. The urbanization part includes apartments, bungalows, small 3 bed houses which have communal ...

The fair of Malaga

Advantages: Pleasant treatment and much diversion
Disadvantages: The Cortijo de Torres is very far

The truth is that I am Sevillian, but for that reason I am not going to criticize the fair negatively, because it would be to me impossible. It is a great fair and him little can be criticized, only one thing that already I will say more down. This summer I have been in Malaga of vacations and Malaga has enchanted to me. It did not come by very pequeñito capital Malaga from and the truth that is as if it was the first year that I come because I see ...
...what I have known and then I will save myself to describe it. Good then when it came me in the afternoons from the beach it showered and that to me that does to er world comé no. Later, being in fair said I and what we do now? then to go to the fair of Malaga. But to go (and this is the unique one beats that I see) you must take a bus because the fair is in the outskirts (Cortijo de Torres calls it). And good the first day sorpredió for seeing that ...

Malaga

Advantages: Cheap, lively, Spanish
Disadvantages: Dirty, noisy

Malaga, despite its position and the popularity of its airport with tourist charter flights, is a genuinely Spanish city. It is not full of ancient monuments, but has a long history which goes back to Phoenicians, Carthaginians and Romans; there's an Arab castle dominating the town and the views fron the upper part, the Gibralfaro, are stunning. Don't miss the cathedral and the port (ferries to Morocco if you fancy Africa), but the best thing about ...

Malaga definitly worth a visit

Advantages: Great Architecture, Beatiful City
Disadvantages: Not for the young trendy

Malaga is an unusual city in that it is a perfect mix of the old and new Spain without the crass commercialism of the rest of Majorca and Spain. If you are looking for a city that retains the best of Spain yet has all the modern facilities and doesnt pander to the whims of tourists then this is it. The architecture is stunning it has leafy boulevards and the people are very relaxed and friendly. For my own purposes it has the best little guitar shop ...
...10 Montenegro this shop sells spanish guitars folk guitars lutes mandolins all at prices which are hundreds less than equivelent quality in this country. Malaga in addition has o good night life although if you are into the Magaluf scene forget it as it is not a clubbers paradise. Magaluf is a city which has something for everyone and i would rate it as highly if not more highly than other Spanish cities such as Madrid and Barcelona. ...

Malaga Top Class Airport

Advantages: Central
Disadvantages: None

Flown to Malaga now for a long time, the airport has grown in size and been improved drastically over the years. The Costa Del Sol has now got a trully impressive international airport on it's hands. Most U.K. airports now fly to Malaga. It's easy to get around the large airport. Car hire is available and can be booked on line with your flight details so that when you arive, some one is waiting with your car. When it comes to departure there are ...
...must be spent by the end of December as they are no loger legal tender after that, with Spain joining the Euro. Malaga central for good easy access to all of the Costa Del Sol. The airport has plenty of shops to chose from. A very well stocked duty free-allthough I found that mainland Spain is still a lot cheaper than the airport. There are plenty of seating areas to rest. The only down side is the restraunts-not much choice, Take a tip from, me ...

The best place for a holiday!!

Advantages: A buetiful place to stay
Disadvantages: The sun can get very hot!!

My dad lives in Benalmedena in Malaga and i am usually out there every 4 months, the people are great and so friendly! Once they know you, they never forget you. It's so nice to go back and have them remember your name and treat you almost like family!? The area is fantastic, the sea is 5 minutes from my dads apartment and there are loads of things to do, there is a sewol(a kind of seaworld) across the road and plenty of bars, all of the local ones ...
