    Before 2006 I had never been on an aeroplane before. My girlfriend and I booked a holiday to Borneo for October 2006 so this was to be my first ever (very long) flight which we booked with Malaysia Airlines. About Malaysia Airlines Malaysia Airlines have been around since 1947, but back then, they offered a very small and restricted air service. Today, they have won countless awards and fly people to more than 100 destinations across 6 continents.     Advantages Advantages Serves many routes, excellent service and hospitality and beats Singapore hands down!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Has the monopoly on London-KL direct flights so can be quite pricey for this route alone.

    This review is written from the opinion of their business class product (Golden Club Class). I have been lucky enough to travel on many different airlines including the fantastic Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific, however since flying with Malaysian (MH) nothing comes close!     I'm a regular traveller on Malaysian airlines, travelling with them in excess of 5 times a year. Well, I'm originally from Malaysia and each time I go back for a holiday, Malaysia Airlines is ALWAYS the airlines that i'll take. I've never considered any other airlines, really, and you may all wonder why?     Advantages Advantages Clean plane, great staff, excellent entertainment, delicious food

    Disadvantages Disadvantages More expensive compared to the likes of Easy Jet

    I travelled with Malaysia airlines in 2008 when I went on the trip of a life time to Borneo. We booked a package holiday which involved several internal flights once we arrived in Borneo so in total we had the flight to and from Borneo and 6 internal flights which were all with Malaysia airlines. Malaysia airlines have been running since 1947 but when they first started business they only offered a fairly restricted service.     Disadvantages Disadvantages You won't want to leave the plane!!

    Malaysia Airlines have flown me between Heathrow and Kuala Lumpur twice a year for the last 8 years and I wouldn't fly with any other airline. Firstly, if you're flying too and from Kuala Lumpur on a regular basis, join the Enrich frequent flyer reward programme. You will soon amass points that can then used for upgrades to business class when you want a real treat. Malaysian custom is to be very polite and hospitable and its no different with Malaysia Airlines (MAS).     I flew with Malaysia Airlines in October 2006 when I travelled to Borneo. In total, we had 8 flights with Malaysian Airlines as we took part in a few trips and had some internal flights. We booked our holiday as a package so we did not specifically book this airline, it just came as part of the package. Check in The check in desks for Malaysia airlines are open 3-4 hours before departure. I found this quite useful as it allows you to check it your heavy luggage and enjoy having something to eat and drink and then you can do some duty free shopping all before your flight!     Check In London- What check in? arrived on time no que and they where expecting us! Straight through no hassel. Boarding Everywhere- As we had our 3 year old daughter with us we got to board first. This is great when you have to settle a youngster in. Departure London- Delayed due to some concern with an engine. Better safe than sorry for me! No problem though we where kept on the aircraft and well looked after by the staff. In Flight Entertainment LHR-KLI - Superb. Games, movies comedy kept me busy both ways. Staff Everywhere - Great. Problem at K.L. on the outward trip to Penang. We arrived ... more

    Have you ever fly business class? To somebody may fly many times, but somebody is never. This is my first experience to fly business class with Malaysia Airline. That was last November, I and my husband went back home in Kuala Lumpur from Perth city. We bought very cheap economic class ticket (on promotion at that time). We did not think we would fly business class. When we were at the airport, my husband suggested me to upgrade to business class, because he saw me so tired and that flight was a night flight.
