Mamma's Ristorante in Blackpool is the big sibling of Mamma's Too in St Annes, an Italian restaurant a few miles down the road where I ate regularly as a kid. We went back to Mamma's Too repeatedly for all the reasons mentioned above, so my hopes were high for my first meal at the original Mamma's.
Blackpool has fewer 'nice' parts of town than some other cities, so though there are numerous decent restaurants, a great many ... ...adorned with photos of the Mamma's football team and of photos of the historical landmarks of Italy - all places you can recognise as being Italian even if you can't differentiate the Venetian ones from the Roman few.
The menus at Mamma's are good, solid, standard Italian food - the pizzas, the pastas, the meat and fish, the anti-pasti and puddings you would expect from this style of restaurant. Although there are some more modern and 'funky' items ...

Advantages: Authentic, Clean, Quality Italian Food Disadvantages: Town Centre and Parking is hurendous
Do you know that there is pages and pages one could write about a restraunt, but it still wouldnt give you the answer you are probably looking for.
Lets face it...the question asked about most places friends eat at is "Was it OK?
So, let me tell you about this Italian place...Its the Original and The Best...and Yes its OK.
Mammas has been around for so long now its always been there and whenever we think about eating Italian, its where we alwys ... ...for an afternoon lunch and also full Italian menu if you want to go the whole hog. I usually have the Tornado Rossini when i visit as its my favourite and the chef knows how to cook.
Obviusley is a full range of pasta dishes and spghetti as you would expect in a genuine, authentic Italian restraunt. They also do a vast array of italian wines to add to the experience.
I know that some restraunts may have a wider menu, but Mammas cook everything ...
