...Airport. We were flying from Manchester Airport which may only be 45 miles from our hometown of Sheffield, but without a Car it is not an easy journey.
There is a Train that runs between Sheffield and the Airport but since we had a 6am flight this was not an option as the Trains stop running before Midnight and do not start up again until 5am. We looked at the cost of a Taxi but £75 split between just two of us seemed a little steep, and so it seemed ... ...A BIT ABOUT RINGWAY

...We have flown from Manchester a few times now so this is no problem, however it is about an hour and a quarter drive from our home in Derbyshire. With taking the car we then need to find somewhere to park for the duration of the holiday so we tend to use the BCP Airport Parking, car park name of Airparks Handforth Dean. We booked our parking through the Travel Agent, however, I have in the past booked direct on-line, which saves about 50p. When booking ... ...the Airparks Handford Dean, for Manchester Airport.

...recently flew to Dublin from Manchester airport. Thanks to engineering works on the line at some point between here (Sheffield) and Manchester, the railway option wasn't open to me for my weekend away.
Firstly this posed two problems: one) I'd have to drive because my love affair with coach services ended some three years ago when, as a student, a National Express (spit, curse, spit) driver completely missed my stop and proceeded to blame me for ... ...working out my route to Manchester airport, before deciding that an investigation into this whole airport parking malarky would be needed. I'd never driven to an airport before (the whole idea of flying, arriving home tired and having to drive never appealed to me), but with no other apparent options, I was venturing onto new ground.
My first stop was the trusty Internet, and a search on Google returned a wealth of informative sites all baying for ...

Advantages: None! Disadvantages: This is NOT Meet and Greet
...Gold 'Meet and Greet' at Manchester Airport. This is Not a Meet and greet service!!!!
We booked online for the 'Meet and Greet' service for our flight from Manchester in August. Having used many a meet and greet provider before at various UK airports I have always loved the convenience of just pulling up to departures and unloading the Kids and the bags whilst the car is being checked over by the Driver handing over the keys and being able to walk ... ...waiting just outside of arrivals for us to load up and drive off. 'Airparks Gold - Meet and Greet' does not provide this service.
On arrival (very early morning) at departures I unloaded the luggage whilst my wife unloaded our three young children (aged 5, 3 & 1). After 10 minutes of waiting no driver appeared. It was only when looking at the smallprint on the 'Meet and Greet' contract did we notice that we had to unload the car at departures and ...

...received when we arrived at Manchester Airport on the 9th August only to wait 30 minutes for the driver to come and collect the vehicle (which meant that we almost missed our flight) and to be told by your customer services operative that you were over booked and we just have to wait, however, my letter is now of a more serious nature which requires immediate attention.

This is shocking service and I would not recommend that you risk using airparks! ...

Advantages: situation of car park adjacent to terminals Disadvantages: think I have said enough in my review.
We had arrived at the airport around 4.45 am the 13th july 2009 and to give credit
the driver was waiting for us.
We went over the usual details but before he left I made sure we went around the car so any damage could be noted on handover, being no damage to the car he handed me the card with the telephone number on and gave me instructions for our return.
On returning we went to level 12 terminal 1 to meet the driver, there was also another ... ...other families car was parked next to ours in adjoining car bays but no driver around.
About five minutes later the driver came through with our keys but said he had to go and get our tickets to get out the car park.
This gave us time to get the luggage in the boot and get in the car.
On switching on the ignition the petrol gauge needle barely moved, the low fuel light was flashing, this only happens when the initial static low fuel level light ...

When we came to collect the car on 30th June, we found it to be damaged. Another car appears to have hit ours at some point during the week as the bumper is caved in, front headlight damaged and blue paint marks all over it. Airparks knew nothing about this, surprise surprise, despite their advertised "regular patrols". When we notified the duty manager he was very helpful and completed all the paperwork with us. He even wrote on the form that the ... ...it. He said customer services would be in touch, would probably ask us to get a couple of quotes and would pay for the cheapest. Customer services have indeed been in touch, but only to say that customers park at their own risk and they will not be paying for the damage! Why then do they bother having fences and security cameras if we park at our own risk?! We were told that we should have read the terms and conditions when we booked. However we ...

Advantages: Reception efficient Disadvantages: Station drop off - planes do not leave from train stations
I came to Airparks For Manchester airport by an unfortunate mouse click. I have used other firms before, but in a hurry I did not realise that I was on the Airparks site. They are all the same aren’t they? Well no, as I found out later.
I know the area quite well so I had no problem finding the location. It is a bit further than most of the others from the airport being on the A34 at Hadforth Dean, but I allowed an extra ten minutes. Checking in ... ...the key in to a box alongside after attaching the label you are given at reception. The bus was fine for a short trip, but loading the cases and stowing them in the racks could be a problem for the not 100% fit, although the driver did seem to be willing to help.
The first doubts came after we got underway and the driver told us we would be dropped off at the railway station. When I questioned this he said that all the car parking busses dropped ...

Advantages: Very short bus journey to airport, first class service. Disadvantages: Fair trek to terminal from bus station but aware of this before we booked.
I used the Airparks Gold site on Thorley Lane, previously known as Q Parks ,I think? What can I say except excellent service from the minute we arrived. Due to wifes disability allowed to park car very close to security office/bus terminal. No sooner did we get on bus than we were on our way to terminal drop off point. On our trip all lifts were working well and trek was not too bad.On our return we were quickly met by bus to return us to carpark. Very fast service with ...

Quick review of Manchester Airport Parking
I have used Manchester Ringway Airpark a couple of times now and have found them to be pretty good, The latter time was in 2007 when extra security was in place and the only drawback was having to walk miles through airport buildings to catch the bus.
This wasnt the fault of the bus company but that of airport security. The bus came within 10 minutes and swiftly took me to the car parking in Isherwood Road. Leaving the car park was straight forward and well signposted for the M62. I would have no problems using them again. ...

I used Airparks Gold 'Meet & Greet' service (aka BCP and Holiday Extras) at Xmas and it was disastrous. They had overbooked the carpark by 1,000 cars and my car was blocking others in as well as blocekd in by 5 other cars. They didn't know where my vehicle was parked (I was left to find it myself) nor where the keys were. I had to find my own way home from the car park and they delivered my car 3 days later. ...car at BCP Ringway Airpark Manchester on 29/07/2004 for 3 nights. They told us to leave our cars with the keys in the ignition and they would park them after we left. We waited for about 30 mins for the transfer, which took another 30 mins( they quote 15 mins transfer), luckily we arrived with plenty of time to spare! I reported it to Manchester police and sent back the complaint form. Advantages: Quick, convenient and cheaper than a taxi. Disadvantages: None
We booked valet parking at Manchester Airport for a week in July 2009. We researched it all first and found that it was cheaper than booking a taxi, as there was an offer on at the time. We dropped our car off, handed the keys to the member of staff and walked straight into departures. On our return, we went to the valet parking area (right next to T1) and our car was waiting for us. There was next to no walking involved.
All in all a very quick ...
