Mark Hotel, Berlin

Only stayed in this hotel for 2 nights, but it was lovely and clean and tidy, the en suite was unbelievably clean, the towel were soft and still warm. On arrival to the hotel we were greated by very friendly and welcoming staff who all spoken such good englidh (one of my concerns as i speak no german at all!). we were early for our room so decided to get luch in the bar, which was beautifully cooked, and very cheap (£2 odd) and the Berlin beer served ...
...on there most nights, while we were there there was a caberet, and a singer on, all which really involved the crowd in the bar. the breakfast the following morning was lovely, included all the normal items for a german breakie (bread, cheese etc) but they also had sausage and scambled eggs, which for me was a huge bonus, prefering hot breakies to cold any day! we paid 40 euros a night to stay here and thought it was well worth the money! the rooms ...

...hot chocolate to drink. The Mark Hotel is about a 2 minute walk from the Kurfurstendamm which is the 1 of the main streets in Berlin for shopping, bars and restaurants. On the corner of the Ku'damm and Meineke Strasse is a Dunkin Doughnuts and Internet Cafe which is useful if you want to keep in contact with home or work. The nearest U-Bahn is Kurfurstendamm but 1 of the main train stations - Zoologischer Garten is about a 10 minute walk. The Zoologischer ...
...is about a 5 minute walk and is well worth the visit, it's gorgeous. All other major attractions are easily accessible whether you use buses or the U-Bahn. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance which have good food at reasonable prices, the best selection is possible in the Europa Center. ...
