...went to stay at the Marriott for a weekend away with my boyfriend last year. I had read that the hotel was central but was still surprised when we arrived to see just how close it is to the city centre. It's fantastic! I can't even say it was five minutes from the shops or anything, because it was more like one minute, if that. We had to drive round to a nearby pay and display, which although it was very close, perhaps two minutes walk away, would have cost us about £20 if we wanted to leave the car there for the weekend, which was certainly a disappointing addition to the cost.
