Advantages: clean, not too big, affordable Disadvantages: prices given exclude tax, so you have to bear that in mind
...and I stayed in the Marriott hotel in Petra for one night in March 2005. It's situated up the hill but as long as you hire a taxi to get you there it's not a problem, moreover, you get nice views. The hotel is quite small but has most things a guest would expect in a five-star hotel. They have two restaurants, a bar, sauna, steam-room, outdoor pool. Our check-in was easy, they found our booking and gave us the keys. I have to point out that the reception ... ...The room wasn't overlooking anything spectacular - it was facing a road. The good thing was we didn't hear any traffic noise. Our room was quite well furnished - two double beds, a bedside table, dressing table, TV, two arm-chairs, wardrobes. The bathroom was clean too, with usual toiletries supply and a hairdryer. The sink was blocked though, which happens at every other hotel I stay in. After we unpacked our bags we headed straight for the sauna ...
