Advantages: Good trance night, friendly people and staff Disadvantages: Non existant oldskool..lots of unhappy people because of it
This is one nightclub that has been going downhill for over 2 years now
The things that made it special are now gone with Gary Hypnotic and Andy/Debbie D choosing to go nearly fully commercial trance and hardhouse
If you like this new commercial music then its defintly for you
This nightclub sounds just like any other nightclub now except for the MC's...which btw sound awful over trance music.
Its not the nightclub itself its the 2 promotions ... ...what oldskool is nearly and lie about a 80% oldskool 20% new tunes...which in reality means 2 oldskool tunes and the rest new cheesey rubbish
The biggest casualty is the Zone......from becoming the northwests best kept secret....ever since Andy D got his claws into the scene after the loss of Phil the Zone name has plumeted to depths of crapness by allowing himself to be rules by the money and commerciality of the naff scene nowadays

...in the dont go to maximes opinion by zoneraver eg andy d and hypnotic need to read this opinion for themselves only then will they realise that not paying dj`s and replacing very good dj`s with crap ones will only lead to a drop in popularity in the northwest.
Mr gary hypnotics beatmatching is very suspect and as for andy d the guy doesnt even know house from trance.
After looking at flyer over the weekend i see that zone carries on from wigan ... ...he use to be at maximes but was forced out just like kieth capstick and dave fisher.
Selex is a true crowd pleaser bouncin around to rock any crowd.
I will pay a visit to this club for a future night out every month to see top dj`s doing what they have always done since i seen them at maximes wigan.
Apparently a club called platinum in halifax is supporting asylum and not paying dj`s guess who andy d and hypnotic not supprising this due the amount ...

not the same as it was long time ago.. to much young attitude [the gold chain crew]... djs are still as good as they were maybe better. find a spot in there though and you could be on your way to the night of your life........ the only draw back i can say would be a little fat man who repeats himself on every maximes night you go . believe me its like a recuring nightmare ... mc breeze well what can i say . ...

MAXIMES, by my experiance has a very good atmoshere and dose NOT play trance or that commercial shit like this next muppet is sayin.
If ur going, and to expect to hear cheese ball trance and comercial dance think again. ull get bounced back though the door....
Within my experiance i found nothing other than a top selection of itallian house, oldskool and mixed with clasic zone anthems and bouncey beats. The djs need more cred than what ur givin ... ...now, though jamie, andy, and hectic have prformed well enough on many occasions.
If ur goin to pull, there is a nice selection of ladies and im sure its the same either way. Mcs r on most of the time though thats usually the let down....sorry dimino but ur shit and breeze. allnighters..yes yes!!there is also a reasonable sized chill out room that has food n shit 4 all the beer louts.i reccomend u dont listen to that muppet if ur into bouncin!! ha ...

well wot can i say about mazimes,i think its gettin better en better,with new djs and new mc ers,its fantastic,the atmosphere is incredable,every1 is very friendly,the tunes oh my god r ace,sumtimes they av a alniter open frm 9 til 7 in morn if you cud hack it,the disadvantage tho is sumtimes its happened 2 me is they can turn you away 4 no reason ive ad my id also but they just say not 2nite for no reason,so watch out,you cud cue up 4 ages in rain ...
