Diamond review   Shop 'til you drop (and you just might)
Review of Meadowhall (Sheffield) by lora44

Advantages: Everything under one roof, shopper's paradise...
Disadvantages: Can get very busy, hot,

...this is very real - Meadowhall centre - and I think that even those with a complete aversion to shopping might wanna pay attention. I'm a huge fan of the shopping centres - everything you want under one roof, no need to worry about the weather or having to trek from one side of a town to the other (though some of these places are the size of a small town, granted) everything is convenient and practical. That's the theory. In practice, some of these ... Read review

Meadowhall My Local Shop (Updated)
Review of Meadowhall (Sheffield) by Multtinems

Advantages: Shop Til You Drop
Disadvantages: Can Get Crowded on Rainy Days

...live within a mile of Meadowhall Shopping Centre. I can see the familiar big glass dome of Oasis (the food hall) from where I live. I remember when I first saw it, I asked my boyfriend what it was as I first spotted it at night all lit up like a christmas tree. Me: 'Hey whats that dome thingy over towards Sheffield?' Him: 'Oh thats the Murderhell Dome' (his affectionate name for the place) Me: 'Meadowhall? That close?' Him: *Silent* Me: 'Oh ... Read review

HELP SHES WRITING A SHOPPING REVIEW
Review of Meadowhall (Sheffield) by julietta

Advantages: Lots - if you like spending CASH
Disadvantages: Lots - if the old money chips are down (then please don't go)!

...it)! The choice of shops that Meadowhall houses is actually quite amazing and I suppose that you could stereotypically refer to the cliché here that ‘there is something for everyone’. Large stores include, Marks and Spencers, House of Fraser, Debenhams, W H Smith, H & M, Next, Boots, and Sainsbury’s, whilst small(er) stores range from anything from the chains (Principles, River Island, Benetton, Ravel, Monsoon, Gap, (and far too ... Meadowhall Or Meadowhell - That Is The Question
Review of Meadowhall (Sheffield) by eca99ajm

Advantages: All The High Street Name plus Some Smaller Less Well Know Shops
Disadvantages: BUSY!

Now, Meadowhall shoppers can be roughly categorised into two major groups – the Shoppers and the Husbands* . The Shoppers will dash around the hundreds of stores collecting a wide array of bags of varying sizes and colours. The Husbands invariably get to carry this wide array of bags fulfilling a valuable service, but as the numbers increase their good mood diminishes. In fact Shopper Happiness levels seem to be inversely proportional to Husband ... Read review

My FAVOURITE Place to Shop and Relax
Review of Meadowhall (Sheffield) by nipples

Advantages: all the usual high street names, plenty of restaurants for evening entertainment - and a Cinema
Disadvantages: you might run out of money - so take 'him' along!

...that apart, where better than Meadowhall Shopping Centre to browse around acres of Shops and much, much more? I know that there are plenty of other popular Centres to do your shopping and obviously, living within easy access of the DREADED M25, places like the new Bluewater and the even more established Lakeside at Thurrock, should be #1. But I was never much of a fanof the really huge Shopping Centres, much preferring the likes of Peterborough's ... Read review

...spaces – for free! » Bus: Meadowhall has its own bus station! No problems there then. » Train: The train stops regularly right next to the bus station. » Tram: Sheffield’s famed trams take you right alongside the train and bus station, forming the final part of the Meadowhall ‘Interchange’ - Wow, this looks cool So we’ve established that you should have little trouble getting there. Review of Meadowhall (Sheffield) by Saul_Walker

Advantages: Masses of Shops, Everything you would need under one roof, Excellent Customer services
Disadvantages: Very busy saturdays, I get very bored there

...the shopping sensation that is Meadowhall on the outskirts of the city. A metropolis of shops, restaurants and fast food takeaways, Meadowhall is the closest I have been in England to the sprawling malls I saw on my holiday to Florida. The shopping centre is built upon a Brown Field site and is ideally placed for all those who travel to the city or stop off from the M1. Problems have occurred though, including the desolation of Sheffield City Centre ... Read review

The Land of Shoppertunity
Review of Meadowhall (Sheffield) by DC-DanielColeflax

Advantages: lots of shops, amazing transport links
Disadvantages: can be busy, fire alarms

Meadowhall is a large shopping centre located in the heart of the former sheffield steel works. It is actually the UK's second largest shopping centre (the largest is the metro centre in Newcastle). GETTING THERE Getting to Meadowhall seriously could not be easier. It has its own train station, with services from Leeds, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Barnsley, Hull, Scarbrough, Doncaster, Cleethorpes, Scunthorpe, Sheffield, Manchester, and even the ... Read review

Review of Meadowhall (Sheffield) by Gardenex

Advantages: something for all tastes
Disadvantages: false , artifical air

Meadowhall shopping centre is situated 4 miles off Sheffield in South Yorkshire . It is easily accessable off the M1 motorway just north of Sheffield . Or why not try public transport? Three trains an hour run from Sheffield mainline station , with regular services from Doncaster , Barnsley , Leeds , Wakefield , Rotherham , Hull and York , Manchester Picc and Airport . Alternatively the Sheffield supertram which is well worth a ride runs into ... Read review

Always Something New...
Review of Meadowhall (Sheffield) by angeelu

Advantages: Huge choice of shops, Easy to get to, Free parking
Disadvantages: Easy to get lost if you're not sure of your way round (if this is the case I recommend picking up a map from the Information Desk!)

Meadowhall is a huge shopping centre located on the outskirts of Sheffield. With easy access from the M1, (off junction 34), it's easy to get to from a number of locations. The town in which I live, although not too bad for shopping, does have a limited range of different shops on the High Street, therefore if you fancy a good retail therapy session it's best to travel to another town. As Sheffield is approximately an hour away from where I live, ... Read review

Meadowhall - A Pheonix from the ashes.
Review of Meadowhall (Sheffield) by micksheff

Advantages: All under one roof
Disadvantages: Can be busy at popular times

...idea was still relatively new. Meadowhall however had an ace up its sleeve, its location. Situated directly next to the M1 motorway at junction 34 it was within easy reach of not just Sheffield and its satellite towns of Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster but also within easy reach of major cities like Leeds and Nottingham. 3 million people live within a catchment area of a 45-minute journey by car. Today the Meadowhall Shopping Complex is a phenomenal ... Read review

Meadowhall Shopping Centre
Review of Meadowhall (Sheffield) by Rodarama

Advantages: Free parking and late opening
Disadvantages: none that I can think of

... For bargain hunters, Meadowhall doesn’t tend to be that much cheaper than your local town centre but the advantages are the closer proximity of the shops and the free parking. Your kids will enjoy it too, as there are occasionally a few street entertainers that show up and perform. All in all you should have a decent enough time getting your shopping done with hardly any hiccups. I hope that this review has been helpful, but if you want a more ... Read review

All under one roof
Review of Meadowhall (Sheffield) by Rach_79

Advantages: All under one roof
Disadvantages: Gets very busy

Meadowhall is in Sheffield which is South Yorkshire and it is easy to get to from whih ever form of transport you wish to use. I always go via the train as it stops at meadowhall, but there is plenty of car-parking opportunity, although i recommend getting there earlier to get a space. If you go onto the Meadowhall webpage there is a route finder which tells you the quickest way to get there via road and if you go by train it also tells you how ... Read review
