    Advantages Advantages They have CABLE CARS as public transport, quite cheap, great weather

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Some attractions not worth the money - the best ones are free

    Medellin (med-uh-jean) is a city in Colombia. You can fly there directly from overseas, jump on a domestic flight or hop on a bus, and since I don’t do well on long bus rides I chose the middle option, getting a return flight from Bogota for about £70 return. I justified this expense because I only had limited time (I work until 1pm on Saturdays, and am then back in at 6.30am on Tuesdays) and the flight takes less than an hour.     Advantages Advantages Large City with Botero Museum

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Large city with bad reputation

    We were only in Medellin for two days and we went to so that my friends could vist family and so that I could visit the Botero Museum that I had been whinging on about for days. It was also an excuse to experience the city after so long in the countryside. It was a bit of a culture shock at first and there were times when we felt a bit threatened on the street but this was probably just paranoia as in fact we had a great time.
