Advantages: Local culture Disadvantages: Beds are 'hard' to get used to
Stayed here in February 2008 before embarking on a cruise to Vietnam and China. If you want to experience a more authentic Hong Kong I would highly recommend it although it does come as a bit of a shock at first. I wouldn't say that this hotel is really in a tourist area at all although I loved it precisely for that reason. It is very easy to get to using the underground system (Prince Edward station is the closest) and is within easy walking distance ... ...see. The hotel itself is clean and well laid out. The room had a king bed with a small table and chair. The room including the bathroom was clean and had nice furnishings. The most important thing to be aware of is the bed. The mattress is incredibly firm and although it is possible to sleep on it ther is little if any mor cushioning than on a floor.
