I checked into the hotel on Friday 26 September and found the staff pleasant. On Saturday 27th September at about 3.00 am, I woke up itching. The bed was full of fleas and there were several blood spots on the sheets where I had been bitten, rolled over and squashed the fleas. I also saw three (of what I am pretty sure were small cockroaches) on my pillow.
The staff were obviously concerned and apologetic but were unable to find me an alternative hotel in Boulogne. Eventually, they found one in Calais so I drove there, arriving at about 4.30 am.
OK, so all hotels have these problems ay some time, but...... ...
