Linate, which is now becoming overshadowed by the new hub at Malpensa is a typical tourist flight airport. Whilst it is just as close to the city centre, if not closer than Malpensa, it has the feel of being a tourist airport. Advantages: Small, charming, and not very crowded Disadvantages: No shops, nothing amazing about it

I have lived in Milan for 3 months. I hated every minute of it. The city was the most brutal and nasty place I have been too. First -The people, a snooty toffee nosed people, with an intimidating and forbidding air to them. Not as wealthy as north Europeans, not as poor as southern Europeans, you can see where their allegiance lies. The pervasive racism of the place is brutal and wears you down, daily. Italy is NOT a diverse country, nor with am ... ...in the country, from every corner of the world. But all you see them doing, is either cleaning this or that. They are brutally stigmatised and unfairly taken advantage of. Listen, Italy, you're not making any more babies, and before you disappear altogether, give a thought to those, who will ensure you're well fed and taken of in the future. Advantages: Economic Disadvantages: Not much to do
...reasons i often travel to Milan with BMI. And Linate airport is the choosen airport.
It seems very small to me and the lay out it is not very clear, for example trying to find the way from up stairs to departures it wasn't that easy.
Once you have find one of the very complicated maps around the airport and find your way to departures, the dutyfree is very limited.
Althought staff try to be helpful, there lack of Inglish is a barrier to obtein ...
