Advantages: Great day out, loads to see and do Disadvantages: Expensive entry fee, its closed now
Well the dome has closed... for the better or the worse is the question being asked. Well I went to the dome in its final days for the first (and last) time and I can honestly say that overall I think that it was a great day out and I am glad that I went.
For the last few years there has been constant press coverage on the dome, that was being run into the ground before they had even finished clearing the site to build it.
I think the main problem ...

Advantages: None that I can see Disadvantages: Too expensive, money better spent elsewhere, people dying on waiting lists, cut backs on prescribed drugs
What a load of poop! Since it's concept was created it has been headed for failure. I mean yeah the structure is cool and quite a feat but why did they have to fill it full of crap! The amount of money that has been ploughed into the Dome could have been much better spent. There are hospital wards closing and people dying because of lack of funding on the NHS and those twats we voted in to run this country are just paying money into projects to make ...

Dont Waste It Review ofMillennium Dome, Londonby

Advantages: Could be put to good use Disadvantages: Never worked
...
They could call it 'The Millennium Athletics Training Arena' and budding athletes would have top class training facilities like an Olympic sized pool, diving area, running track, gymnastics area, cycling track and even somewhere to house rowing boats seeing as the river is right next door!
Lottery money could be ploughed into it to pay for the interior and upkeep, as well as for first class trainers.
Athletes would want to come from all over to ...

Advantages: The content was superb, especially the show. Disadvantages: Prices of tickets, food and merchandise.
...the film started were hilarious.
The Millennium Show deserves particular mention. This was overwhelmingly impressive. I really enjoyed the show, with the pyrotechnics, acrobats and its general presentation being first rate. I congratulate all those who took part.
One disappointment inside the Dome was the food and its price. These like the tickets were extortionate, despite the brochure telling you they were at, 'high street prices.' The merchandise ...

Advantages: Lots of attractions, foods, emotions Disadvantages: Tiring on the feet, a lot of reading, £20 too much
I have been meaning to go to the Dome since it opened, just to say I had been there. My partner sorted it out and we went! Got there just after 12pm. You need to make you own mind up about this - but here's my experience...
The place is big, spacious and warm ( a bit too warm in places) and there is so much to see. The Mind Zone and the Living Planet Zone were very good. Some zones - like the faith zone - require a lot of reading - not a lot of ...

Advantages: Good day out - informative - entertaining - a once-in-a-lifetime experience Disadvantages: too much to see in one day (Hey! is that REALLY a disadvantage? why not go back a second time?)
...day by a chaplain. The Millennium Diamond (the largest in the world) is a wonderful sight to behold. We managed about half the zones in one day and are planning another trip to "finish off" seeing it all.
Food outlets are varied. Cheap Macdonalds through to restaurants are abundant. Souvenirs can be expensive but are good quality. In one of the stores, children can buy a large variety of pencils, rubbers, cards etc for just a few pence.
There are ...

Advantages: Shorter queue on the left, good atmosphere to start Disadvantages: Almost content-free
This zone is entered up a spiral ramp, and it often looks as if it has a long queue. In fact, there are two queues - one for those who want to enter the zone after playing the "Spend a Million" game, and a much shorter one for those prepared to skip the game. If you play the game, you enter through an archway that is wallpapered with a million pounds - yes, 20,000 £50 notes are beside you, above you and underneath you, behind a transparent wall. You ...

Advantages: shows up the governments uselessness Disadvantages: expensive, way over budget, waste of money, looks stupid, built in London
Is this not the most stupid looking building ever. It looks like a sodding balloon. If it was inflated at least we could live in the hope that it would burst and fly off into space like a deflating balloon. To pour the hundreds of millions that the government have done is disgraceful and will be written on their epitaph. When the NHS/Education/Public Transport is in such a state and yet they pour that kind of money in is disgusting. Do you know how ...

The Millennium Dome
The Millennium Dome had taken some press stick and from the public as well saying that it isn’t worth the money and they are still spending on it. I think that the Millennium Dome is a waster of time because too much money has been spent on it and should have been spent on something worth while. I mean something like a museum, theme park, and a nature park. This makes everyone happy from youngsters to o.a.p’s. They could have ...

Advantages: structure and shows Disadvantages: zone content
The dome, that world famous disaster. How can they spend so much money and still make the contents look cheap? There is lots to see but not much to do, the content is dull and uninspiring while moving about is difficult amongst the mass of people packed into the structure. There are however three positive aspects of the day, the Blackadder show is easily the best attraction, but this is placed at the entrance just outside the dome. We visited this ...

A very long day Review ofMillennium Dome, Londonby

Advantages: Lots to see Disadvantages: Hard to get to. Preachy. Not baby friendly
Theres much to see at the Dome, but the question is do we really want to see it? Too often I felt like I was being preached at. Especially in the Living Island Zone, with it's classic seaside look, but little touches to make you feel like all you do is wrong, such as having a bath instead of a shower, or eating junk food.
Yes there were good points. The main show was very entertaining, and I enjoyed the games in the Work Zone. However there was too ...

Advantages: None what so ever Disadvantages: Waste of Tax-payers and Lottery funds, Its a terrible site,
I have never been to "The millenium Dome" and have totally no intentions of going there but this does not stop me having a opinion on it, as I honestly believe its the most pathetic example on how to waste tax-payers money.
I believe the "Millenium Dome" was thought of by the Tory government, and carried on by the "Labour" government as some type of "See we got it going" exercise.
To think this thing cost over 800 million pounds, and has since ...
