Advantages: Centrally Located, Great Views, It's In Las Vegas Disadvantages: None
...There was also a Mirage employee moving people into lines for most efficiency. In our line there was a couple being checked-in when we arrived and one couple in front of us. Within 15 minutes we were being tended to. Our names were taken and we were quickly told that our room was ready. After a 10 hour flight, we were happy about that. Our own check-in was uneventful. Our credit card details were checked to be sure we had booked the room. (You have ... ...the petite suite at the Mirage was because it had 2 bathrooms. YES, you read right! 2 BATHROOMS- His and Hers. The room door is actually French doors that open into a marble floor and mirrored foyer. There is a wet bar that includes a sink, drinking glasses, wine glasses, ice bucket, fridge and mini-bar. Please note that the mini-bar is very expensive. We knew how mini-bars can be in Vegas and asked for it to be locked when we checked in. This was ...

...point of Vegas, and the Mirage in no exception. Some facts about this mega hotel before I begin:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
It has 30 floors
There are 3,049 rooms
There is a tiger sanctuary, dolphin habitat and a 20,000-gallon aquarium with sharks and sting rays
It employs 7,500 people
It has a 1,500 capacity theatre
All mind boggling, and there is a whole lot more which ill try to cover (a difficult ... ...the good ones. The Mirage is centrally located, and close to all the best hotels such as the Venetian (across the road) Paris and Bellagio (next door). The last thing you want is to be at one of the distant hotels and be tackling the strip with the Nevada sun beating on your back! Its a ten minute cab ride from the airport ($20). I dont think you can beat the mirage for location.

...hotels we found that the Mirage was right in the middle of the Strip and was one of the first super hotels.
So after having it all booked up, it was time to see what the hotel had to offer.
We got a taxi from the airport to the hotel and when the tax dropped us off, we were greeted by the Bell boys who told us that they would sort our luggage out for us and it would be up to our room in no time.
This was great as it meant we didnt need to cart ... ...Checking in was nice and smooth. The staff were really helpful.
We had a choice of a kings size bed or two double beds, so that is good that they give yoiu choice.
After we had checked in we were told where to go to get to our rooms. This turned out to be quite a trek through the hotel. To get the rooms you had to walk right through the casino.
(Quite a good ploy if you ask me)
What was good was that they have seperate lifts for different batches ...

Advantages: Centre Strip - Close to all the action Disadvantages: Centre Strip - really busy
...The reasturants at the Mirage were always busy and expensive, and not always that tidy. We found it much better to go and look around, there are loads and loads of restuarants/cafes around with much better value and a lot less busy. The gaming tables and poker tables were always busy and a bit more expensive than some of the other hotels.
The hotel staff were always very friendly and helpful, as were the croupiers. It was always so busy, we didn't ... ...and about to some of the other resorts. It was handy being centre strip though as it meant we could walk to see the other hotels etc. Just a few minutes walk was Treasure Island and the fighting boats, fantastic shopping at the forum which had just recently been refurbished. We tended to get taxis to the other resorts, not expensive. Getting a taxi from the hotel meant we usually had to wait about 10 minuese, which isnt too bad, but other hotels ...
