Moghul Palace Restaurant
Stony Stratford
Milton Keynes
I visited this wonderful restaurant last Friday as it was my ladyfriends birthday and wanted to take her somewhere different. I had only been in stony Stratford a few times before and never really tried any of the restaurants there. I had passed by this one before as it stands out very well in the town having been converted from an old chapel into an Indian restaurant.
You are probably all ... ...left directing us to the Moghul Palace as it's the most popular Indian restaurant in Milton Keynes. We followed the signs to off road parking and went in through the cast iron gates, it was then we noticed the lovely surroundings of the old chapel with lights beaming from it to cover the courtyard as well as the outside of the chapel/restaurant itself.

Advantages: The building and setting Disadvantages: Food & Service
In this case, don't be fooled by the grand exterior and setting. When you walk in , you will no doubt say "wow". But the moment you are seated in the restaurant itself , you may say "ugh, as I did"! Advantages: Nice surroundings and ambience. Friendly Staff Disadvantages: Appalling food and service. Dishes are bland and uninspired, taking 30 mins to arrive!
...Sadly, this restaurant disappoints. The Moghul Palace has apparantly won awards - for what I am not sure but it cannot be for its food. The party of 7 ordered a variety of dishes from the standard and uninspiring menu. After a lengthy wait we were disappointed. Both the chicken and lamb dishes were tough and had clearly not been marinated; the meat had simply been added to the sauce. The sauces themselves were bland and runny with little aroma. The ...
