Advantages: Good location and access to other major hotels on the strip

The Monte Carlo is by no means the greatest hotel in Vegas. But the hotel itself is very stylish and extravagant compared to anywhere else in the world. The reception area when you ariive is massive and impressive when you walk into the hotel. The staff are very well presented and they help you as fast as possible and make things very easy to get to your rooms. Disadvantages: Not as glitzy as its neighbours

...here, you stay at the Monte Carlo because it is cheaper than the other hotels on the Strip and so you have more tokens to fritter in the casinos! It has all the basics you need for a base from which to explore Fabulous Las Vegas!! Make sure you spend some time in a rubber ring floating around the lazy river though as that is a perfect midday activity after a heavy night. Also the food in the hotel "pub" is good. We stayed at the Monte Carlo resort hotel for 5 nights in June 2007. The hotel has an excellent location, is reasonably priced and has all the facilities you would expect. However the European theme is a little dated and the newer, larger resort casinos have better facilities and perhaps also have a bit more style and flair.
