Advantages: The opportunity to feed dolphins in the wild Disadvantages: hard to get there
Moreton Island is situated 35km away from Brisbane. The island is 98% National Parks which is very obvious when you are exploring the island as there isn't a lot of shops or houses. In my opinion its like a mini paradise with its sparkling clear water and unspoilt beaches.
HOW TO GET THERE
You can get there by ferry which operates 6 days a week and you can take your vehicle if you wanted to. This is how we got there and we chose to do a day ...

Moreton Island Review ofMoreton Island, Brisbaneby
ciaowales
Advantages: Excellent facility, lots to do Disadvantages: Ferry terminal not easy to get to/from.
We stayed on Moreton island at the Tangalooma Dolphin resort where as a guest you get the opportunity to feed wild dolphins. There are other places to stay on the island and the most popular are the camp sites. You can either come across and camp with a backpacker tour or hire your own car and drive across or use the ferry. All depends on how much time/money you have.
I would reccomend Tangalooma dolphin resort due to the facilities and good value ...
