Ended up on MyTravel Airlines as a result of booking through Canadian Affair from Toronto to London. Checkin was not advertised ... had to march up and down the hall a couple times to find who was checking them in. Checkin was straightforward and as a seasoned air traveller, it was as it should be, even if the agents weren't the friendliest people in the world. MyTravel Airways (MYT) is the new name for Airtours, a Manchester-based company that has provided holidays for many years. However now they're going bankrupt as they've found that by expanding, they've got too big for their own good by taking over any company they see fit. My in-laws live abroad (I know - lucky me) so I'm a seasoned Internet trawler when it comes to finding the best value flights. Lordy Lord did I get it wrong this year!! ...boyfriend and I flew with MyTravel airlines. Overall, the experience was similar to most other airlines. IN my opinion, most airlines are much of a muchness (with the exception of the serious budget airlines). The check-in staff were friendly and helpful. The plane itself was standard; seats were not too comfortable, but for such low prices, what do you expect? For one who has travelled throughout Europe by coach, including a 26 hour journey to former Yugoslavia, I was expecting my four and a half hour flight to Tenerife to be much more comfortable journey. How wrong I was! The tickets were booked by my partner's parents, so although I am not aware of the exact price that was paid for the tickets I know that they were fairly cheap in comparison to other airlines, although still more expensive than budget ... ...fortunate enough to fly on MyTravel Airlines from Gatwick to Rhodes in June. I have to say it was among one of the best airline experiences I have had. Check-in was efficient and moved quickly, even though it was a full flight. The flights were on time - both inbound and outbound - and we even arrived at our destination early both ways! Excellent value for money. I liked the real time travel information on your personal screen in economy class. You also got to see the view from two cameras - front view and bottom view. The aerial views from the bottom cameara were excellent. The food was acceptable, but in my opinion all airlines offer rubbish inflight meals. The plane is big and spacious, but the legroom was limited for the cheapest seats. The inflight entertainment was good, service was fine and the flight was punctual.

Just got back from Protaras on an Airtours package holiday, Flights in both direction were with My travel airlines (MYT) which is the in house airline and was formerlly known as Airtours international. I noticed two very different standards of service, On the outbound flight from Manchester to Larnaca the plane was delayed by approximately 1 hour no word of apology off the crew. Disadvantages: SMALL CABIN WITH LIMITED SPACE

I went to my local Going Places to book a holiday for my girlfriend and myself to the Dominican Republic. This was our first trip away together and i wanted it to be special. I TRAVELLED WITH MYTRAVEL JUNE 2007 FROM MANCHESTER TO SANFORD ORLANDO, ECONOMY I AM SIX FEET TALL THE SEATS WERE CRAMPED NO LEG ROOM AND THE FLIGHT WAS DELAYED FOR UP TO AN HOUR DUE TO A BACK LOG OF DELAYED FLIGHTS. THE FLIGHT WAS GOOD THE SERVICE EXCELLENT EXCEPT FOR THE PERSON BEHIND ME WHO KEPT ADJUSTING HER SEAT EVERY TWO HOURS WE ALSO HAD SEAT BACK TV SCREENS TO KEEP US ENTERTAINED IF YOU ARE TALL MY ADVISE IS TO UPGRADE TO PREMIUM ECONOMY WHICH WE DID ON OUR RETURN JOURNEY WHEN YOU GET TO SANFORD EXPECT LONG QUEUES AT IMMIGRATION WE WAITED OVER AN HOUR.

Disadvantages: Extra cost to your holiday

As we were travelling long haul and with no guarantee of seat back tv's or extra legroom in economy we decided to upgrade to Premiar Gold - and we were so glad we did. We felt like VIP's! On arrival at our departure airport it was great going to the dedicated check in with no queue at all. The staff were friendly and efficient and in no time at all we were in the departure loung. I was hearing a lot of bad things about My Travel before we eventually booked to fly with them. We were quite pleasently surprised. Compared to other airlines, we had more leg room and the seats were more comfortable than we had experienced before. The food was okay and the staff were constantly on their feet pushing trolleys up and down which seemed to pass the time.
