What made me join the National Trust? Well one night at work my friend was talking about her membership and how great it was and how her and her family had gained so much from it. She explained to me that the even after visiting only a few of the properties, she would have spent over what the family membership had cost her. That was me inspired so I went home and immediately joined on line. When I informed her that I had been awarded 3 months free ... ...You can join at a National Trust property when you are visiting and gain free entry there and then if you have not joined previously. I joined on line and am always looking on line which has lots of information worth looking at with activities in your area (or a different area if you are visiting somewhere). ...always thought about joining the National Trust but never got round to it. As we are holidaying at home this year, we were trying to find places to take the children to, which were not going to break the bank in the process. We have some lovely National trust places nearby but family tickets are usually around £26.50 each visit, which has always put us off.
However, we went onto the National Trust Web Site and looked up membership costs. There is ... ...was really useful and the National Trust prefer this method of payment as it saves them money in the long term.
Within about 10 minutes we were members and had received a confirmation e-mail. As the full membership pack can take up to four weeks to arrive, the e-mail includes a temporary pass which allows you start visiting National Trust properties and places straight away You just need to print it out and show it on entry.
