Advantages: A totally unique experience, New York has everything
Disadvantages: In the summer it is a bit opressive

Disadvantages: Driving around Manhattan is suicide, expensive to live and eat out

Advantages: It's NYC! And the city is spectacular.
Disadvantages: Very pricey, and very busy.

Disadvantages: Tall buildings make it very dark everywhere

...to hit the streets of NEW YORK CITY. `MACY`S` here we come. God, it was bloody huge. We shopped for England (you would have been proud of us) and trust me, I hate shopping. Due to the time of year we went, most stores had their xmas decorations up and it was very pretty. Disadvantages: Noisey, crowded. Its a city.

I visited new York last year as part of a college trip. It was one of the most memorable times of my life and has stayed with me ever since. If you can overcome the six hour flight, then there is much to be explored in the "city that never sleeps", and that is certainly not an understatement. Disadvantages: The credit cards take a beating!

...back from a week in New York and stayed at a hotel called The Moderne, which was most disappointing (review will be forthcoming once added to the NY hotels). I have also stayed at The Pennsylvania, The Mansfield and The Helmsley Park Lane (see my review on this). Advantages: Amazing city, great shopping. Everything really.
Disadvantages: 7hr flight away!!

...the place that never sleeps, New York City. However we see each other 4 times a year, I go over there twice and he comes back here twice. An Economy class return flight on Virgin Atlantic from London, Heathrow to John F. Kennedy (JFK) Airport in New York costs me around £400-£800, although it does vary greatly. Advantages: So much to see, multicultural, interesting, historical, picturesque
Disadvantages: Human traffic, vehicular traffic, can appear to be quite untidy

...in on a coach from New Jersey and we took the Lincoln tunnel (a tunnel which actually passes under water) entrance into the city. The first thing that hits you is the traffic. Boy the traffice is something but somehow, I cannot say we were held up. I guess it's moving traffic. It is truly a busy city.
