Advantages: different zoo experince Disadvantages: bit of a trip to get there
...cannot miss out on the Night safari. This provide to be very true. We decided to visit the zoo with an organised tour from the hotel we were staying at (Shangria-la). Which proved to be a bit pricey about 70 Singapore dollars and also add alot of hanging around in a coach.(Wouldn't do the tour again) later we discovered it would cost $20 (around £10) taxi there and about the same again to get into the Park. The park opens at 7ish, we didn't get there ... ...all the resedients are naturally night animal and they are out prowling and hunting , a very different experince. My children were thrilled by the whole experince. The tour stops half way around allowing you to get off and explore on foot and catch another tram. Back at the beginning of the tour you have a choice of an animal show which is shown on a first come first served basis (missed this due to late arrival)or the many different walks.

...you want to spend a night out of the bars, then the night safari is a good option.
Its different from anything else I have done before. You can pay to go to the safari and walk around or pay extra and go on a guided tour on a tram. I would definately recommend paying the extra. You are taken around by an informative guide and see the animals in a much different way to the usual safari park experience. The park isn't that big, but you can get off ... ...alot of animals hunt at night and are naturally awake and in action at this time. I'm not sure what time the park opens, but it shuts at midnight, so you want to get there by 11ish so you can have the full tour and time to get off the tram at every stop.
I also found the staff to be very helpful with all our questions and offered to take us around the park even after it had shut as we were late arriving. Like any other safari park there is a souviner ...

Advantages: reasonably priced, different and interesting!!! Disadvantages: None that i can thing of
...The admission prices for the night safari starts at S$10 for kids and around S$20 adults, which is a farely good price compared to the other attractions located in Singapore. I visited the night safari at around 8.00pm and it closes at midnight- plenty of time to explore and see the events planned. They provide a handy little map to help you make your way around the park, also, the staff were very helpful in guiding us. If you dont fancy walking ... ...about 45 minutes. The night safari is probably one of the best zoo's i have been too, it provides a good selection of trails, special events and food. Personally i think the safari is well worth visiting especially for familys, it is different to the others i have been to and is a chance to learn about the animals and their nocturnal activities. Obviously, there is a souvenir shop, where you will be able to buy little presents to remeber your trip ...

Advantages: Family fun, educational, exciting Disadvantages: Night time only
...my visit to Singapore. The night safari is a wonderful idea, and extremely clever in terms of layout and accessibility. You board a slow moving tram with a tour guide to keep you informed as you glide through the park with wild animals on either side of you. The animals are nicely lit by minimal lighting hiding in trees and bushes, and as its feeding time you get to see them in all their glory, and feel like you're actually with them in the wild. ...
