Norbreck Castle Hotel, Blackpool

This was the most disappointing stay we have ever had, The room was a total shambles and this was an upgraded room. The fronts of all the draws fell off so we could not use them the bathroom had nowhere to put your toothbrush and no hand towel plus it was dirty. The beds were not properly made each day, only the top covers were straightened, the bottom sheets and mattress protectors were left as they were when we got out of bed, we had to make the beds ourselves. The bathroom was not cleaned on the last day, towels were left still damp. Cups were not properly washed. Definitely not worth the money we paid for our stay!!!! ...

...long weekend stay at the Norbreck Castle from Fri 18th Jan 08. We paid £99 for a double room for 2 nights, this was booking on the Britannia Hotel site which gave more discounts than book ing with the hotel direct. When we arrived at the reception desk an elderely man was complaining about his evening meal amongst other things, I must admit this did put me off a little. But after talking to the staff myself and seeing the hotel, my fears soon disappeared. ...
...comfortable, a nice big bathroom and tea making facilities, tv and hairdryer in the room. The hotel facilities excellent. Lovely pool, spa etc even snack and drinks vending machines were scattered around. The pub bar attached to the hotel was great with a DJ and on the lower floor a pool table and darts board. Prices we're cheaper than the pubs at home, An alternative WKD vodka drink on sale for £1 and bottles of Bulmars Cider for £2. From there ...

...Just came back from the Norbreck Hotel . originaly planned to go elsewhere but the whole town was full of pigeon fanciers and Most hotels decided to double the rate for the whole weekend (the Claremount and the Metropole ) to name only two of the moneygabbing hotels . After booking in which was quick and friendly ,we found our room on the 1st floor ,An executive Jaccuzi room which was still half the price of the Metropole.ok the silicone on the ...

Just arrived back from this hotel. Dont know where to start apart from its dirtier than dirty and the food is mass produced,cold and terrible.Bedrooms are old fashioned need a good clean, hallways smell of sick. As for spending millions on this hotel i couldnt see where and believe me i looked. As for the prices i paid £110 for the two of us for one night and was given a room on the back with no view and the double bed was about 3 inches of the floor ...

I recently stayed overnight in this hotel with my partner, in order to assess the facilities, with a view to holding an event there. We found the staff to be extremely attentive and helpful, the check in procedure was straightforward. ...We stayed at the Norbreck one week ago for four nights, myself and two of my two children, a boy aged 13 and a girl aged 9. When we arrived we checked in before the alloted time of 3pm onwards, it was at 2pm, life worked fine, and if it didnt there were others we could have used, keycard worked fine and we had been allotted a quiet room. When my mum, dad and I arrived we were allocted our rooms, the staff were very friendly, rooms were clean and the food both at dinner and breakfast the next day was excellent (and plenty of it). Dinner was cream of cauliflower soup, chicken casseur, fish in cheese sauce, cottage pie, chops, vegetables and roast potatoes. Full english breakfast including 4 choices of fruit, cereal and then sausage, bacon, eggs, toast, fried bread, mushrooms, beans, ...
...Travel into Blackpool every few minutes by tram only a few stop at the castle. Although the hotel had 400 rooms the dining area was well organised wthl very little waiting time. We would thouroughly recommend it. Two days and one night from Glasgow by Glenton travel was £49. ...

we arrived and it took an hour to check in, on the way to our room their was a broken glass in the hall way the carpets were a mess and full of paint and stains. the room had 3 radiators in but only 1 worked and one of the windows didn't close proper. we made a complaint but nobody came to sort it. This didn't help as our baby was only 3 months old and was cold all the way through the night. We went as a family for a weekend away and our room ...

I recently visited the Norbeck castle and I must say after reading other reviews expected to find a smelly dump.What I got however was very different. What can i say about the Norbeck Castle????? It was Ok, The rooms are average sized , Friendly Staff , Not too far from town. Food was not the best but it was addible. They could do with a few refurbishments and changes. They need to redacorate and modernise their rooms. If your thinking of going to the Norbeck dont expect 5* expect very good 3* nearly 4*. If you do go and stay at the Norbeck then take a dvd player or some sort of entartainment device ...

The website for this hotel is very decieving. It looks like a lovely castle with great facilities. Upon looking at the hotel website decided to book. It was actually quite expensive for a double room. Upon arrival we had to que for 3/4 of an hour to check in. Once we got to out room all you could hear was commotion in the corridors about the state of the rooms. Then had 2 que for another half hour to complain! Staff unfriendly some seemed very young. ...
...didn't work Asked 6 times in one night for then to look at it. Booked in for 2 nights didn't bother with the second. Big dissapointment. If you are looking for a pleasant weekend do not stay here. Seems the staff are so used to complaints they have no time for you at all. The bar to the end of the hotel is closed down. Th ehotel overal is in a very poor state. ...
