Advantages: It gets me to work Disadvantages: I don't really want to go to work
...my first time on a Northern rail train. Shattered having come from a day at work in London, I got on the train at Carlisle and drifted in and out of sleep. I awoke to the train stopping. In a panic I rushed to the door only to be told:
"It's Flimby. You really don't want to be getting off at Flimby!"
Thankfully this stopped me from getting off before the next stop, Workington.
It was the railway map which made me pick Workington as a place to ... ...I write my novel on Northern Rail I wonder who might end up reading this:

Advantages: gets you from a to b Disadvantages: overcrowding, delays, cancellations
...daily at the hands of Northern Rail. Overcrowding, delays and cancellations are the most common problems.
After three years of travelling to work using this company, i am able to say that from experience, there has been no improvement in the level of service for the £300,000,000 tax payers money that is annually chucked their way.
The service provided by Northern rail is thrown into sharp contrast by that of Trans Pennine Express who have invested ... ...done to the boss of Northern rail if he/she was to follow this enlightened approach! Advantages: get you where you going, Disadvantages: too many stops, and no real special offers
...free between the two counties, Northern Trains is the only one that allow you to do this. The ticket people are usually friendly and help us get the pram off the train. Would be nice to have newer trains, but then again may have to fold the pram up, which wouldn't be brilliant. Fares can seem expensive, so if your ever in south Yorkshire for the day,and planning to get the train ask for a south yorkshire day tripper which you can use on all trains ...
