...we were going to visit Nou Camp, the stadium of the world class team Barcelona. e were not only going to have a tour of the stadium, but also watching a live match against Osasuna. The great thing was I was from a boys school and everyone absolutely loved football!

"El Nou Estadi del Futbol Club Barcelona", affectionately known by the Catalan nickname of "Camp Nou", is the current home of FC Barcelona. The venue for numerous glorious footballing moments since its inauguration in 1957, the famous stadium undoubtedly contains the most revered blades of grass in Catalonia, and a comprehensive list of the sporting greats who have graced it would be very long indeed. The fiery Catalan separatist tradition ... ...city before moving to the Nou Camp in 1957. This was inevitable as the club's popularity had soared during the 50s, driven by the team's amazing success. Located in the northwest of the city, the stadium is a few minutes' walk from Collblanc Metro station (L5 Light-Blue). Admission is a real bargain at 575ptas (~£2.30) ...

Advantages: great value for money and loads to see Disadvantages: none really
...rude not to visit the Nou Camp, home of Barcelona FC of the spanish football league. It is the largest stadium in Europe with a capacity of 98,772 - almost 10,000 more seats than the newly opened wembley stadium which cost £778million to build! It seems they're not satisfied with the current capacity as I was told on the tour of the stadium there are plans for expansion, taking the overall capacity over 100,000 - wow!
When visiting the stadium you ... ...or as I did, both. Its excellent value for money and there is so much to see, it really is a truly awesome experience. The stadium tour takes you to many of the great places within the stadium, such as the players chapel, changing rooms (really impressive), players tunnel, pitchside dugout, the pitch (not always available to walk onto), the press area and the club presidents box ( features the best view in the whole stadium). It really is a great ...

Advantages: Standing on the Pitch looking up into the stands. A great value tour Disadvantages: Thats there was no game on the weekend we were there, although we did go and see Espanyol instead
...Friday, a visit to the Nou Camp. The main reason for our trip was to see Barcelona play someone, however this wasn’t possible as they were away that weekend. So instead we did the next best thing, The Nou Camp Stadium tour and visit to the Barcelona FC Museum. Of course I’m sure it comes as no surprise that on our first full day, having got drunk the night before, we went to do something related to Football.

Advantages: Amazing stadium, surprisingly cheap, great players to see, easy to get to Disadvantages: Can be slightly tepid if it's an unimportant match
If you like football - or even if you don't - you simply must go here if you happen to be in Barcelona.
Not only is it the biggest stadium in Europe at 120,000 capacity, but it also plays host to some of the finest players in the world. Not only that but you can get in for under a tenner if you get a seat right at the top - but bring your binoculars (seriously)!
The one thing I would advise is that you should go for a reasonably big match - the ... ...the World. You'd be lucky to get tickets for this, though. I say this because when I went, we went to a match against 'ickle' Numancia and so, although it was pretty much a full team for 'Barca', there wasn't much passion in the game and the stadium was only half full. As a result it wasn't a great game and the crowd was a bit quiet as they watched Barcelona sputter along to a 1-1 draw with the Primera Liga minnows.
Whatever the match, though, it's ...

Nou Camp, Barcelona... possibly the most famous football stadium in Europe.
This football stadium was so huge I could not get over it. I have been to many British stands and they are jumpers for goalposts compared to this amazing pitch. It has a 120,000 capacity and hosts some of the most famous players such as Figo, and Ronaldo and the most famous games in the world. I am not a football fan in honesty and wet there as it was just one of the sights ... ...enjoy this experience if you don’t like football or is your love the game. It is clean, colourful and vibrant. The museum, which is attached to the stadium, is so large and full of beautiful trophies and awards. There are photos of the Barcelona team through the year, video rooms of spectacular matches and the whole history of the team along the walls. There are models of the various football grounds they have owned, which are very life like ...

I have recently traveled to Barcalona and this was the highlight of my trip. The football stadium has main transport links through a number of tourism buses, including the citysightseeing bus (blue route). Also there are transport links through the underground metro and tram.

As someone who doesn't have any interest in football, the tour is well worth a visit. It's very interesting to see how a building like this functions for the players, the spectators and the press. The museum is interesting even as a social history. If you really don't want to go but your friends/family do, there's a cafe on site to pass the time. ...

...was my visit to the Nou Camp. This is where Barcelona FC play their football matches, it is the biggest stadium in Europe and is absolutely amazing.
I think the Nou Camp stadium is much more entertaining if you go to see an actual game. Although for you true football fans I suppose you might enjoy a tour of the stadium. I didn't see a Barca game but rather two different exposition games, Brazil vs. Catalunya, and another time Argentina vs, Catalunya, ... ...game which makes a trip to Nou stadium worthwhile! One tip, outside the stadium before a game there are a lot of tables selling merchandise for the teams playing, I don't know if the quality is that great but it seemed pretty reasonably priced compared to the real jerseys etc. ...

Advantages: Only that you can say that you have been there. Disadvantages: An awfully out of condition stadium with terrible facilities.
...and interior of The Camp Nou is one of the biggest dumps I have ever been in. I paid good money for the stadium tour and what I found was in my opinion an utter disgrace. (My visit was in July 2008) No working lifts so everyone including old and infirm people had to trudge up about 8 flights of stairs in a grotty, filthy stairwell to get up to the higher vantage point inside the stadium. The whole of the interior, excluding the trophy rooms and probably ... ...what a dump the Camp Nou is given that Barcelona FC are such a great club.
