Novotel New York, New York City

...deciding to stay at the Novotel and it was on the recommendation of a colleague who had stayed there before. We booked direct on the website and paid £336 for three nights. I shared with my sister so overall the cost was £56 per person per night. Location For people who would like a central location for exploring New York then this hotel is excellent. The Novotel Is in a great area litteraly one block from times square. the lobby is nice as is the bar area. rooms are spacious, clean, tidy and bathroom is also nice. The room has all the necessary amineties. The only fault with the hotel is that when someone across the hall from us ordered room service the tray stayed there for 2 days. ...out the hotel and turn right there is a fab cafe that does amazing cheap breakfasts! All the sightsare easy to get to with great subway service. To eat dinner I recommend Ruth Chris for an amazing (yet expensive) steak meal. The hard rock in Times square is also fab. Although the hotel is situated in one of the best locations in New York City (it is a couple of blocks away from the centre of Times Square), it lacks a little quality. The restaurant facilities are not up to much, especially breakfast-wise and the rooms are nothing special. I stayed at the Novotel in June/July last year. Upon arrival we were greated heartily by the doorman, who helped us with our bags to reception. You have to take a lift from the street level to reach the reception area which is very spacious and clean. The room was a little smaller than I had hoped, but we had an amazing view of times square which was definitly worth the extra supplement.
