We arrived at the hotel at 4am in the morning and the reception staff were very helpful and polite offering us a bottle of water soon as we arrived. The room was on the ground floor and slept 3 of us very comfortably it was cleaned every day and clean towels every other day. We returned from our holiday Sunday. It was lovely. The drive from the airport to the hotel resembles Beirut in parts, but please don't be put off. The Abou Sofiane could do with a little TLC on the decor in parts but was kept extremely clean. The food in the restaurant was good and plentiful - which made it all the more baffling why some people chose to push in line instead of waiting! all the staff were helpful and extremely friendly. Despite a sign asking people not to reserve sunbeds they did, but there was an ample supply around the pool and the lifeguards did get more from the hotels private beach if more were needed. No Air-conditioning before 01st-June even if it's boiling hot like 33 degrees celsius, and baclony's slide door didn't have a mesh to prevent bugs coming in, so I was battling with the bugs to be able to sleep at night, and at the end of my vacation my legs were full of red spots because of bug bites. Food is utter rubbish, the Tunisian cuisine is by no means tasty. The room did not have a fridge. Few Englsih channels on TV, and not a single tunisian channel to show you the countries culture.
