Advantages: large cinema, night screening, many restaurants Disadvantages: no parking around
Odeon cinema complex in Kingston Upon Thames is a favourite destination for families, couples, groups and individuals from all over the area/county. It is one of the biggest cinemas around and it has got a choice of restaurants, bars and 12 screens which makes it easier with choosing from current movies. The complex is orientated oposite the Kingston train station and its short distance to high street. It is busy area and always buzzing. When you ... ...evening.
First floor is where Odeon is together with Express Pizza, chinesse restaurant, Sushi bar and Frankie and Benys, Hagen Daz ice cream place and Frangos. Always well busy so its essential to pre-book if you are plannig to eat before hiiting the movies. All the places serve different food so its up to your taste what you fancy. I found Frankie and Benys good and their staff is always very helpful especially if you are hungry and you have a ...

Advantages: there wasn't any! Disadvantages: no food or drink, dirty, screens didn't work, didn't show any of the top movies
...looking through a booklet with ODEON plastered on the front, so I walked up to the side of the counter and grabbed one for myself. I thought it was a bit silly how the small magazines with all the times and dates in were at the front of the queue.
I opened up the booklet, and at the top of the front page it stated: 'What's on at Maidenhead Cinema (August 2008):'. We were finally getting somewhere! Until of course, we started reading down the list. ... ...those that are crazy enough to want to visit such a poor 'cinema', here's the address and website:

...can't do better than the Odeon Cinema on South Clerk Street.
This cinema offers both the main Hollywood blockbusters and smaller independent films without the pretensiouness of the art-house cinema or the impersonal nature of a Multiplex. Both matinees and late night showings are common, the later being popular with the large number of students living locally.
It has been renovated recently and is still stylishly furnished reflecting its 1930s ...

Advantages: Good quality services Disadvantages: Expensive tickets and food
...the lowest adult price at Odeon now being £5.20, yes FIVE POUNDS TWENTY!! This precious cash (equivalent to half an hours work on the average UK wage) will buy you 30 minutes of trailers, and a film – varying in quality. It seems that the film itself is becoming less of an attraction, and the cinema chains are seeing the ad as a more important part of the cinema experience. Of course, this advertising does keep prices down, but not nearly as ... ...undergone a refit in recent years, bringing in luxury eating and snack facilities. For example my local cinema in Taunton (the only cinema in Taunton), has a Hagan Daz ice cream parlour, a hot dog counter, not to mention numerous beverages and snacks. Needless to say these products will set you back a few pounds, with a 3-scoop portion of ice cream costing around £5, and a small drink about £1.40!! With the need for only one or two cinemas in any ...

...his pay.
Now, the odeon is a fabourite cinema for many and still incorporates less costs than most for ticket sales and for your viewing snacks. On a recent visit, though I don't go much, I found they were going with the crowd and had had itself refurbished. The prices had rised a little bit but not yet reaching higher prices of, for example, the two ABC cinemas, also in the city.
It only had about six screens but had all of the latest titles. ... ...directed up a few flights of stairs after being greeted by a few, friendly employees. At the top we entered the screen. This was a surprisingly top quality, gigantic room that seved beeter purpose than any of the more commercial cinemas could.
I hope this great viewing experince is not part of the downfall of coming complete commercialisation and stays its small, but fantastic, self. ...

Advantages: well it does create a good laugh with mates, and then thers the tension factor Disadvantages: expensive ticket, expensive food, and a stupid phone booking system
...see a film at the odeon cinema in my own town, which is the chepaest adult ticket that you can get. this is quite a ludicrous price, as for me and my friends (around 5 of us at time) it costs £26.00 to see one movie, where as if we go down to the nearest blockbuster it will cost just £3.20 to rent the latest release's.
The advantages though of going to the cinema is that you get to see the latest releases and if seeing any movie, you can experience ... ...that i have towards the odeon cinema's is that of their phone booking system, i recently wanted to book two seats to watch the Bridget Jones movie (excellant), but it must have taken 5 minutes or more just to get to the point of credit card booking and to entering my details.i got half way through that and it became a mess, and the women on the other end (automated computer response) was making no sense at all,so i hanged up.it also included a charge, ...

I took me and my son to watch the 3D film UP it was really good along with the experience, but where it fails to deliver was the prices on everything in there, we paid approx £16 for tickets around £7 on drinks and then popcorn between us, dont forget the petrol to get there and back aswell. I just feel more can be done in the price list and this could enable the kids on the streets to come were safe instead of drinking and bein violent- no wonder ...
