Home from home at Orange Lake Resort.

Advantages: Tennis, fitness center, pools, live entertainment, and the list on.
Disadvantages: Having to drive everywhere from the east village.

...8 days, 7 nights, in Orange Lake Resort & County Club, in Kissimmee, in a villa, with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, that sleeps 8. So on Sunday 27th February we headed east. It takes us around 2 hours to get there. We came to the entrance of the development and there were loads of cars. Check in time was 4.00 p.m. and it was 3.30 p.m. We drove past the gate and headed to the West Village Clubhouse, were registration was. I was pleased to see that there ...
...about these 3 villages in Orange Lake Country Club, but all I will say is, if you get a chance to stay here, then go for it. I checked out rentals on the Internet and saw a week in March for $1,500 (850 pounds). We got ours for 7,500 points, which is about $70 (40 pounds) of our maintenance fee, and an R.C.I. exchange cost of $149 (85 pounds). For $219 we got a bargain. It is only Wednesday and we still have 4 days left to enjoy ourselves. The only ...

Orange Lake Country Club

Advantages: close to Orlando attractions, many activities on the resort
Disadvantages: pushy sales people, unpleasant pool staff

...have owned a timeshare at Orange Lake since the mid-80's and I have been there many times. My wife and I bought a week last year. Don't buy a timeshare directly from the resort. We bought our week (pre-owned) on eBay. Total cost for a week in August, including closing costs, was approximately $4,500. One of my coworkers bought a less desirable November week from the resort about six months before we bought ours. She paid over $10,000. Check-in was ...
...a trend. In the past, Orange Lake was a family place. We took our kids, age 4 and 5, to the new River Island water park (inside the resort). Admission is free but they hired attendants (we called them 'pool Nazis') to patrol the water park and make sure nobody uses store-bought inner tubes. If you want to use an inner tube, you are forced to rent one from the resort. The problem is, our children (ages 4 and 5) were unable to use the rented tubes ...

ORANGE LAKE RESORT/RIVER ISLAND

Well, We stayed there for 1 week. The 1st day we found that there was someone else living there already for months.RED ANTS>They already had an ant farm that was well established in the bedrooms and the couches that my son slept on.Only to notice as he was sleeping that they were all over him.The poor thing just had been to disney exhausted and had to be thrown in the shower which also had ants. The next day we were told to pack everything up and ...
...is a awsome place we thought.Finding out the rules to the pool that again my son could not go down the slide because he was 1/8 inch too short from 48 inches on there ruler. The kid could swim under water from one end to the other but they said rules are rules. My thought to this hole trip there is anyone who owns a villa are trying to get pushed out by sales to rip the old villa`s out and put more towers there.Dont eat the filet mignon at the river ...
