Orlando

On my 5th visit to Orlando in August 2006, we (2 families ages from 8 - 52 ) stayed at the Microtel Inn and Suites on Canada Avenue. Superb location just off International Drive. I was quite suprised as the hotel didnt get such good reviews on holiday forums, but it was excellant. The rooms were clean and fresh linen and towels provided daily, had 2 queen sized beds, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hair-dryer, tv, telephone with free local calls, ...
...of cereals, bagels, pastries, fruit, make your own toast, jams cheese spreads, tea, coffee and fruit juices. The pool was not overly large, but just a nice size, and never overcrowded. The staff at this hotel were very friendly and we had no problems whatsoever. There is a shuttle bus provided from this hotel to Seaworld, Universal Parks and Wet n Wild, though it is easier to walk to wet n wild than get the shuttle as it stops off at other hotels ...

...and we arrived safely at Orlando Sandford. After collecting our luggage we set off to collect our hire car. We had booked via Cosmos and were told to report to the Alamo desk which we duly did. The Alamo staff were not particularly cheerful but we collected our car and set off on the 60 minute drive to our villa. Florida is one of the main tourist attractions in America. Because of the theme parks, Disney world, Universal Studios, Epcot Centre, Sea World. The shopping malls are fantastic and they are so cheap. The factory warehouses are the best you could buy nike trainers for 50 or 60 pound here and you pay 10 over there. Having just got back from Orlando exactly 1 week ago today the trip is still fresh in my mind. I definately recomend going to Orlando for a family holiday as it has something for everyone- this was my 4th trip! Younger families will benefit from the atractions such as Disney World, Universal studios, Wet and Wild and so on. Orlando in my opinion is well worth any one visiting. In the last ten years I have been there 6 times. Not once have I had a bad time there it is a place with many places of interest, most people first visit orlando solely because of disney world, and yes disney is in fact a wonderfull place for people of all ages. Despite having been to Florida twice before (once when I was 8 and once when I was 11) a close friend of ours was offered the use of a villa in Kissimmee for £400 a week and it slept 8 people. I love Orlando and have been six times. Whilst the theme parks are great fun, although a bit pricey it is the shops that relly make my holiday. Within easy reach of International drive there is the Belz factory outlet which is huge and sells everything and also the Florida Mall. Now these make for a real shopping experience with prices normally 30% below UK ones. I always have to buy another suitcase to bring all the booty home! So go shop America. ...

My family took me to Kissime, Orlando, in 1998 when i was 15, my memorys of the holiday are great. Orlando is wonderful fun for all the family. The weather is generally good, the theme parks are great even if you don't want to go on the rides and there is bargains galore in the hundreds of discount shops. Orlando – the place for sun, fun and let’s not be too loud about it – the place where they can’t decide who the next President will be !!!! Having been to Orlando on 5 occassions you might say that we like it very much. Well infact its superb for all ages young or old, the weather is great, the people friendly and there's far too many theme parks to visit in 2 weeks, in fact I would recommend that you need a minimum of 3 weeks to visit properly. Besides the usual Disney and Universal parks there is Sea World, Cyprus Gardens, Busch Gardens, Alligator Land, Space Kennedy, Daytonna Beach ...
...visit is Downtown Orlando which shows you parts of the original Orlando Town. It also has a shopping center selling unusual gifts as well as restaurants and the famous Rosie o'grady's bar. So take my advice make your next holiday to Orlando and you'll not want to come home. ...
