Advantages: Fabulous dining Disadvantages: if you get a bit see sick
...lucky enough to travel on P & O 's faboulous cruise liners on two seperate occasions. The first time we travelled to Zebrugge and the second Zebrugge, Rotterdam and Le Havre. We were greeted by the whole crew and captain once we boared the ship (We have been on both the Artemis, which is mainly for adults and the Aurora). We were given a complementery buffet meal when we arrived whilst we waited for our twin cabin to be ready. It was lovely attending ... ...excursions that are offered by P & O are very well worth the money and defiantely worth booking before hand to avoid disapointment. We went on the excursion to Paris on our second cruise which took 6 hours from Le Havre but very very worth it when we got to see the sights of Paris, we were taken round the Eiffel Tower, Arch de Triumph etc. and after a 2 hours stay in Paris headed back to Le Havre. We loved every single aspect of both our trips with ...

Advantages: excellent value for money Disadvantages: cabins a wee bit pokey
...a journey courtesy of P and O ferries!
I went with two friends on one of the mini cruises and wasn’t quite sure what to expect as had never been on one in my life!
The cost was very reasonable, for a 3 day break to Holland £86.
What did this include, well the ferry obviously!, 3 evening meals, 3 breakfasts and a cabin.
We docked at Hull and first impressions were my god, large or what, the boat seemed to be enormous and was quite worried ... ...I was very impressed, the quality of the interior was very good, posh carpets and very clean and modern. Almost like a floating hotel.
The cabin however was very small; there were 3 of us sharing and 4 bunks, but little room to swing a cat so to speak. It did have a loo and shower, but this too was very pokey.
We decided to take a look outside and must admit once we set sail it was very romantic. Well it would have been if I’d had a partner ...

Advantages: Chance to see Dolphins and Whales up close - Price Disadvantages: Queueing to re-board at Bilbao - Bar Prices
Well the title says it all (although it probably cheaper) so don't go on this expecting anything else.
Starting off with the arrival at Portsmouth and the ridiculous (in my opinion) system of having to get a bus from the arrival hall to the boat when it is a 5 minute walk (although addmittedly this might not be P&O's fault) to the fact that once on board one of the lifts are reserved for wheelchair use only (during borading) therefore if you have ... ...long wait or have to bounce it up the stairs, this IS in my opinion P&O's fault especially as the fact the lift reserved for wheelchair use stops at the floors and you have a member of the ships crew stopping you from getting in an empty lift.
Once on board cabins are just about ok, although for under £35 per person you can't really expect 4/5* luxery, I would recommend paying the extra £10 for an outside cabin (and if possible go for a 2 person ...

...a smile, friendly and polite. P & O ticks all the right boxes.
Cruising is one of the best ways to travel and excellent value for money, especially the Caribbean as some of the islands are very expensive to visit for a holiday. Some P&O ships allow children to travel free or at a very discounted rate and the facilities for them are amazing.
There are crèche facilities on some ship's allowing parents a break to enjoy the evening's entertainment, ... ...after there loved ones.
People often ask if you feel trapped on board a cruise ship with no where to go. When you get up in the morning you are either docked or docking somewhere new and usually don't sail away until early evening. Extra Information:
I have included a picture of our cabin instead of a describing it, thought it might be better than any description I could offer.
Cruises with P&O range from around £300 up to more than £20,000 depending ...

Advantages: Lots of activities, lots of bars, excellent nightlife, lots of variety, outstanding food and choices of food. The list could go on and on. Disadvantages: A bit pricey, ships air conditioning is usually set too low.
When I was 13 years old my parents suggested going on a cruise for their 25th Wedding Anniversary. I went along as well as my brother, and we shared a 4 berth cabin on the Oriana for 3 weeks. It was cramped, but the ship and the destinations down in the Caribbean were so fantastic you can easily forgive the small cabins.
I've been on 5 cruises now on Oriana, Arcadia and Aurora, and definitely plan to go on more. P&O are a very professional company, ... ...and although the first look at a price of a cruise looks very over the top, for the service you get, it really isn't.
You get free food as much as you can eat all the time, free tea and coffee, and the only thing you really have to pay for on the ship is the casino and the bars. It's pure heaven!
My favourite ship so far is probably the Aurora, and I've met so many dear friends over the years on cruises, I'm really glad I managed to keep in touch ...

Advantages: no worries about money til the end! Disadvantages: hangovers can be hell when on sea!
I went on this cruise with my friend and her family. It was really great. I will describe as much as possible, to try and create a feel for what to expect. CABINS - the cabins are very spacious and if you are having twin beds with 2 extra beds, they pull out from the ceiling and it is really useful. Not only can you fit four people in one room, but also put the bed away for more room, when you are getting ready e.t.c. The ventilation in the room, ... ...or too hot. If you are a smoker, you are able to smoke in your room, as the ventilation is very strong and it doesn't leave the room cloudy. The bathrooms, aren't too large, but just big enough to not feel claustrophobic. The showers are 'powershowers' and everything is very stylish in silver and metallic. The T.V is on the wall and it is great has it is like an aeroplane movie screen. Back to back everyday, they play the latest movies out in the ...

P&O ferries offers some superb, value for money mini-cruises to the continent. This review specifically looks at the Hull to Amsterdam excursion.
It's very easy to come to the conclusion that cruises are for the posh and wealthy. P&O have made cruises available to everyone now, and without cutting the quality of service. Each year the company offers "2 for 1" deals, which enable 2 people to travel for the price of 1. There are no catches, and no ... ...hardly a round the world trip, but it does offer you the chance to do most of the travelling overnight, whilst still having 2 great evenings outbound and inbound onboard. Booking for travel can be made up to 4 months in advance, and payment is taken online via credit or debit card. The only thing you then need to take to the check-in desk, is your confirmation number and passport. Check-in from Hull starts from about 17:00, and the latest check-in ...

Advantages: Very good cabin with balcony Disadvantages: Poor food
...were our expectations. Unfortunately P & O and Arcadia in our opinion didn't measure up to those expectations.
On the plus side
The cabin on the A deck with a balcony was very good
Cabin steward excellent
The bars generally were good
Standard of bar service very good
level of service in the Meridian restaurant was excellent
Pool decks were nice as to the Spa
The negative points
Quality of food average to poor. The evening dinner in the Meridian ... ...with towels and books and P & O would do nothing.
Bingo, Karaoke and Line dancing ! if you like these activities then book a trip on the Arcadia.
To many sea days Gastro enteritis, obviously a major problem throughout the cruise. Whilst P & O did just about acknowledge the situation. They didn't do enough to manage the outbreak and we left the ship very ill.
Some very poor value and quality shoreside tours. One around Panama City caused a virtual ...

After stressful exams my friends and me decided we needed and deserved a nice inexpensive holiday. We wondered what to do until seeing an advert in the paper for a boozy party mini cruise to Spain. It was quite cheap and the brochure that was sent to us persuaded us to book the holiday. It was around £80 for 3 of us to share although was later told that all the cheaper cabins had been booked and we would have to pay around £110 for a small window ... ...the boat and reached the accommodation we were in shock to see how small our cabin actually was with not enough room to stand and stretch really although at least it was en suite with a shower even if it was tiny. We attempted to get food from the three restaurants on board an hour after setting sail and to our dismay they were closing and so had to starve. We visited the bar for a few drinks and saw the majority of people there were over 40, and ...

...I know that's not a P & O ship!). All amazing but quite different in some ways.
If you are planning a cruise, book early. They do 30% discount if you book just after the next years' brochure comes out. I'm going again in July and we booked last July - saving around £500 each. Another way to get the cost down is to get 4 people together and book a 4-berth cabin. No good for couples really but great for friends! The cabins look small on the website ... ...booking something longer.
The P & O website (www.pocruises.co.uk) gives loads of info with ship plans, itineraries, cabin layouts and allsorts - but for booking have a look at www.savensail.com. They get some great bargains and can email you when new offers become available.
On Oriana and Aurora (Ocean Village is different) they have 'formal', 'informal' and 'casual' nights for each cruise and they tell you how many beforehand. For a 7-nighter ...

Wow i still cannot get over how fantastic this ferry is!
Last week me and 9 friends caught this ferry from Hull to Rotterdam, the cost of this trip was £55 pound each or 2 for £69 at the money which is a special offer only available to travel on Thursday to Saturday. When arriving at Hull port we were immediately greated by some P&O staff that were very friendly and helpful, we was able to check in after queueing for around 5 minutes. Because we ... ...in an 8 and a 2 due to P&O changing the booking numbers apparently after getting large groups of people causing trouble, and this was there way of preventing this. At the enterance to the ship the crew were there to greet us and help us in the direction of our rooms. We choose to take the lift which brought us into the centre of a maze of cabins. Once in our cabin we were quite comfortable although they were very small. We pondered for a while on ...

We have just returned from a minicruise with P&O to Zeebrugge from Hull on th ePride of Brugge, an overall we were very happy with the trip.
Checking In and Parking.
Parking is free at the terminal in Hull and there appeared to be plenty of spaces, checking in was easy and the staff were friendly. The waiting lounge is looking a bit tired but there was a drinks and snacks area, along with kiddies play area.
The Ship and Cabin.
Again the ships ... ...of staff around to direct you to your cabin.
We had booked a premier outside 2 berth cabin, which consisted of the 2 bunks, a chair, desk and mirror, the ensuite shower/toilet was a good size and the cabin in general was very clean. The only gripe was the shower head kept sinking down the riser rail as you showered, but it added to the memories!!
The ship was also in good order, with numerous bars and shops, we ate in the Buffet restaurant and ...

We went in July this year. It was fantastic. The sea was calm but still it was a bit windy on the outer decks. But it was worth lasting the wind out because the Dolphins and Whales came out to play really wonderful.

we went on a cheap short break cruise, recommended by my neighbours, 4 days /3 nights .going to spain on my first ever trip abroad.i was really excited, the ship looked massive.all the staff were really polite and the meals were reasonable eg,full breakfast with toast £5.98, dinner,£6.98. sailed down to santurtzi, had 4 hours in spain , only drawback is you arrive about 8am but the shops don't open 'til 10am.
sailed back to portsmouth but the weather ... ...a must , you may not need them but it's always best to buy some just in case. it was an experience that i repeated and the weather was better , this time i took my 17 year old daughter and her friend , they absolutly loved it and made some new friends, there is entertainment in a large caberet room with a duo , a full show with the p&o players, eg songs from grease, one night, abba on another night etc , and you can dance the night away until around ...
