Pani's is a hidden treasure situated between Grey Street and Northumberland Street in High Bridge opposite the Bacchus pub. It's a genuine Italian cafe cum restaurant and bar, run and staffed by Italians with Italian cable TV and great food and beer. Pani's is one of the places in Newcastle where you can buy authentic, delicious Italian panini (sandwiches) and pasta dishes. My sister and I frequent the place lots, I typically go for a warme ciabatta with mozarella, basil, parma ham and olive oil - so tasty. All of the ciabattas are excellent, as are the pasta dishes.
