...Pafian Sun Holiday Village in Paphos was an absolute delight. The rooms were clean and modern (consisting of a double bedroom and a sleeping area in the living area for one person), the lounge area was light, airy and comfortable and the entertainment was varied. ...We went to Paphos christmas 98 and enjoyed a great time, sampling the local dishes, testing the cocktails (there are some intersting ones worth trying) and enjoying a really wonderful christmas dinnner at a local hotel where Santa had arrived by helicopter!and presented all the children with a gift. I spent two weeks in Paphos August 2000. It is said to be the quietest main resort in Cyprus but I was quite surprised! It has an unlimited amount of pubs/bars and restaurants in the main streets near the harbour. These are all a bit touristy but make quite a good atmosphere. I spent ten days in Paphos at the beginning of January. I expected it to be warm but hot enough to get a tan. I was wrong. It was hot and sunny every day. At this time of year the weather is usually pleasantly warm, around the high 60s to low 70s fahrenheit with plenty of sunshine, although odd rainy days can intervene. Well the first four days of our holiday we spent freezing and stuck away in our hotel room in an attempt to get warm!
