Advantages: Reasonably tidy site, good tennis courts Disadvantages: View spoilt by factory, not enough space
Par Sands markets itself as the quiet family park on the beach. There is no doubt that Par Sands beach could once have been beautiful but that beauty has been stripped away by a huge factory which runs along one side of it. When you compare the actual view with the brochure with its carefully selected cropping of the photographs you cannot help being very disappointed.
The factory is still working and produces a processed aggregate from a locally ... ...however safe it looks.
Par Sands could be a good site however it is not just this blot on the landscape which spoils it. The site is reasonably well set out but in the camping and caravanning area things are a bit too cramped and there is little playing area for children to play close to the tent or caravan so they can be seen. Facilities like the toilet blocks, number of water taps and the electric hook-up points are all adequate but perhaps not ...

Advantages: beautiful spot, quiet site, excellent base for touring, so much to see Disadvantages: not enough time to see and do everything
...family pub within walking distance, Par is just a bit further away and the coast path is right on your doorstep. All that combined with the beach just a few yards away made for a fantastic break. We explored Fowey and Charlestown as well as the Eden Project and would have liked to do more but only had a week - definitely one to come back to again. ...

Advantages: Flat, clean, safe Disadvantages: too far from home
...such a wonderful stay at Par Sands, so much so that I wanted to put finger to keyboard. We are well seasoned Tourers who have stayed in places all over Devon and Cornwall and have to say that this park has to be one of the best run I have been to. The site is well kept and managed, the pitch’s were of good size and were flat!!. The toilet and shower block was clean and well maintained and I noticed they had radiators for those chilly mornings. The ... ...calm and each morning we woke to the tune of the various species of bird who have made their home there. You can see how they have achieved the David Bellamy Gold award. The beach in front of the park was raked daily where we spent many hours paddling in the sea which was very safe for our children. Our youngest child spent his time boat spotting as the odd vessel came in and out of the port at Par.
The wildlife lake on the park provided many hours ...
