Advantages: Beach Disadvantages: Nasty customer service and security
...Cana, Dominican Republic, read this!! Paradisus Punta Cana resort staff couldn't care less for its guests safety and wellbeing!! I would like to warn travellers who are traveling to Punta Cana about the bad experience we had at the Hotel Paradisus Punta Cana by Meliá this last July. We were robbed from the safety box in our room of all our cash and my wife´s credit card which was subsequently used in 5 different fraudulent store purchases that one ... ...evidence of violence (the safety box had been opened with a key, and locked again) that we should "just get cash with our other bank card, and just continue with our trip.!!" We received no apology nor satisfaction from the management, and have received no answer or explanation until this moment, and this is suposedly a 5 star hotel!!
