In easter 2000, I and my family stayed at the Bouquet de Montmatre Hotel in Montmarte, Paris. This was described as a lovely hotel, overlooking a Parisienne street market, however the reality was that the hotel was nothing more than a brothel. Quuite unfit for families. Activities of a very dubious nature going on through the night. The female manager/owner of the hotel was grumpy and rude, and when confronted with complaints she suddenly could not ...

...sounds like a clique, romance, Paris is your city. It is is one of the most fantastic places for a short break I've ever had the pleasure to go to. Flying with Buzz from Stanstead (an exremely comfortable and easy flying experience at a great price)we arrived in the early evening and after a short RER joureney found ourselves in Denfert Rochereau. Finding a hotel proved to easy and we soon found ourselves in the Hotel de Lion just round the corner ...
...We spent four days in Paris just seeing the sights including the Louvre and boat trips down the Seine but found that one of the best ways to see the city was simply to hop on the Metro, get off at a good sounding station and walk. You'll always either end up somewhere famous full of museums and culture or if not then simply hop back on the metro and try again! The only word of warning though is that you should try to avoid stayin in the Montparnasse ...

I have visited Paris three or four times now on day trips when I have been passing through or for short breaks. Overall I am still unsure as to why it is regarded as the city of romance. To be quite honest there is no way I could be romantic when all I can smell is dog crap. They seem to have a big problem with it in the central areas of the city - I dont know if it is just me who notices it but come on guys, clean it up! I will however give it merit ...
...my favourite parts is good french cuisine - provided the meat is not running with blood!! On a plus it is easy to reach by train, plane or.. bus and there are a good range of hostels for those on more of a budget. That goes the same fot eating out too. I went to Paris a couple of years ago and can highly recommend it. We went for a long weekend travelling by Euro. The journey was quick and comfortable. Paris is a fantastic place to visit, with trips to all the 'tourist' spots a must such as the Eiffel Tower, A list, however, is essential as there is so much to see, usually with so little time! I recently visited Paris with my girlfriend, who kindly treated me to a first class return on Eurostar. There are some good offers on at the moment, so it's worth looking into (apparently!). I was in Paris the same week on business, by coincidence, but took the plane and really regretted it. Since 2 years, i live in Paris... and it's a wonderful city. In this op I will talk you about 3 places I like ; maybe I'll completed it with other places later. I'm very lucky : if one day I miss something, if Ciao (.fr !) is boring me, If I don't want to listen the radio, if I'm too tired to read, I have a solution : I go downstairs (I live on the 6th floor, without elevator), I turn around the "Place de l'Etoile" (the one with the Arc de Triomphe) ...

Paris is a great place. I spent 3 days there but could have stayed so much longer. There are so many things to see and do. The Eiffel Tower was my highlight, the view from the top is absolutely awesome. Like London, everything is compact in the centre of Paris and it is quite easy to walk from place to place. If you need to travel further afield, the underground system in Paris is very good and very easy to navigate your way around the different ...
...coming towards you is amazing. I did this climb at night, and the lights could be seen for what seemed like miles. You can get to Paris for probably £120 for a couple of nights, it is well worth it. I for one, plan to return soon ...

Paris is a nice place, but I definately think its over rated. It can be a bit expensive to do things like eat out, and it depends whereabout you are in Paris as to whats around. My boyfriend and I travelled to Paris with British Airways. Not many people went to Paris when we did (July 12-15th), and we had a spare seat next to us. The plane was small, but comfortable, and the flight just over an hour. I had researched the metro and train system ...
...The only major problem with Paris is getting around. My boyfriend got lost looking for plasters and there's a million and one pharmacies, which is useful, but then, you can't tell the streets apart. Which is where it gets repetetive. Quite honestly, Paris is the most beautiful city that I have ever been to. During our holiday, we travelled around Northern France and our first stop was in Paris for three nights. We stayed in a moderately priced hotel in the 9th district (Just be careful booking hotels - our one was described as being in a lively area, which turned out to be a red light district!). Anyway, it was very central to Paris and we could easily travel to all the sites ...
...days. The people in Paris are reasonably friendly. It is quite important that you try to communicate in French. The majority of French (if they can) will speak in English if they see that you are making an effort. Finally, prices in Paris are quite reasonble. I fell in love with Paris on my very first visit fifteen years ago. Then it was just a flying visit , one day to try and absorb all the sites. Very soon I was back for a longer stay, and from that moment on I have made at least one pilgrimage a year to the greatest city on earth. ...ago I visited Disney Land Paris (then known as EuroDisney)on a school trip. The trip also involved excursions and one of these was a trip down the Seine. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Paris, as it is a cheap, relaxing way of sight seeing.
