We had to chose 5 dates and 5 parks and within a few weeks, were allocated Cayton Bay. We once again chose the Scarborough area because we wanted somewhere close enough so that the journey wasn't arduous but far enough away so that Little Miss felt as though she was ... ...as a base.

FINDING THE PARK
We had the tom tom set with the post code so it was easy to find and about 20 miles from Eden camp where we had visited on the way from Newcastle. Situated between Scarborough and Whitby and only 100 yards from the beach, it is ideally situated to do a spot of sight seeing. There are lots of caravan parks on the stretch of road but all well ...

...who did we book with? Park Resorts of course. In this day and age there was never any doubt that the holiday was going to be booked over the internet, due to the fact that this generation is the computer generation and of course the internet loves taking business away from the high street chains. You can't really go into a travel agents and book a trip in England either. A quick search on Google brought up quite a lot of results, and the most trustworthy ... ...with many options. Park Resorts holidays are not just the option of caravans, although that is the means I shall be reviewing as it's the one I stayed in, however they do have options on some of their sites like chalets and tents. For caravans there are three different qualities, ranging from bronze to gold. Bronze is the only caravan type that allows animals. You can then also choose from 6 to 8 people, where the caravans differ from having one ...

Advantages: Vey clean caravan, lovely area, good shop. Disadvantages: Too noisy and boisterous in the evenings, loud music.
My family and I recently had a 3- day break in the Brynowen Holiday Park. The caravan we hired was a Bronze Standard - the budget option. When we first arrived, the staff were friendly. The caravan was absolutely spotless, and looked like it had hardly been used. The bed-linen was there, all in very good condition, the pillows and duvet were all spotless as well. Very pleased with that. My sons room was lovely, and the bedroom for me and my partner ... ...or stale milk. The area was beautiful and I thoroughly recommend the Acorn Cafe for fish chips and jumbo sausages!! The convenience store on site was very well-stocked, and the prices were very reasonable. Didn't use the entertainment facilities much, only once but we did get a free fun pass, at Haven we had to pay quite a lot for the fun passes. The only down-side was it was so very noisy at night with loud shouting and swearing even in the middle ...

I booked a holiday with Park Resorts at Cayton Bay. On the website there are pictures of their accomodation and a description of activities and facilities avaialble. It was also crawling with spiders and earwigs. You were unable to go in the second bedroom as it had 2 fitted beds and no room to walk in. There was a hole in the floor of the master bedroom which made the room extremely cold, there was no hot water or heating, which was due to the fact that there was no gas left in the cylinders. The last straw was 06:30 in the morning the electric went out on the site, so all the ...

...on our stay at Ashcroft Park resort this weekend. What a disappointment after traveling and spending a few weekends at other Park resorts throughout this year, we had decided to buy a caravan, to accommodate friends and family coming abroad. Firstly the advertisement around the park on breakfast and dinner is complete ... ...surprise. With three kids that had been promised to swim and be entertained by Spark'y Club what a disappointment for them. The park itself was dirty lots of dog mess and dirt laying around.

Quick review of Park Resorts
I have had the misfortune to visit two park resorts camps (Kessingland and Camber Sands) and I will NEVER visit another one.
At both parks the staff were incompetent, dismissive and disinterested. The standards of cleanliness were dire and the food was poor quality.
Park Resorts considers itself a family holiday specialist and in my opinion the only thing they are interested in is taking as much money as they can whilst providing as little as possible. there is no value for money or customer service.
The camps are understaffed, the shops ill equipped and the waiting time for meals or drinks are ridiculous.

Quick review of Park Resorts
My only experience with park resorts has been a terrible one, so much so that I thought I should tell others.
I booked a holiday with this company and paid in full at the time of booking. Then I had an unexpected hospital appointment and had to cancel.
I hadnt taken the cancellation plan, but called within 24 hours of booking to explain my situation. I was asked to send proof of the appointment so I could recieve a REFUND.
2 weeks later no refund had been given. I called and was told I was only entitled to a £22 deposit. (Even though I'd paid in full)
The conditions then state that if a holiday is cancelled within 7 days then you loose 100% of the cost.
avoid ParkResorts! Haven Holidays are 100x better! ...
